I knew the software update was a big issue with this recall.
I wouldn’t sale. I would just leave it in the stateside with my parents if I couldn’t ship. I am kind of emotionally attached to this vehicle. I might do a 5.7/auto swap when I get back anyways.
I contacted Jeep and they opened a case since I had already had the clutch replaced and they reimbursed me for it.
I’ll see how this pans out. I understand the dealership’s thought process but I don’t see how a dealership can say they will or won’t do a mandatory safety recall. Modified or not.
Yeah I unmarried the tazer before I showed up too. The dealership told me that they had done the recall before on a jeep with a tazer and regear and the jeep didn’t work afterwards so they won’t do a recall if it had been regeared.
I took my truck into the dealership today for the 19A recall. The dealership told me they wouldn’t do the recall because I have regeared (Dana spicer 4.88s which are in the mopar performance catalog) and had a tazer.
I already have a centerforce clutch, which JEEP actually reimbursed me for...
Back in 2023 I replaced my clutch with a centerforce one. It’s been great. Now I have orders to move to Hawaii and I have to ship the gladiator with no open recalls, or at least have documentation showing the recall couldn’t be completed.
I understand this is a NHTSA recall for safety.
Went...
I have done most trails in uwharrie, nc and hot springs off-road park in Arkansa. So mild to moderate trails, I did the badge of honor trails at both locations.
I do have a winch up front mounted in an arb stubby bumper.
I like them. They are firm on the road and keep the vehicle planted and they work well when I get the opportunity to take it off-road. 10/10 would buy again.
Mix and matching springs with shocks isn’t a novel idea. I like the 5100s I have, they are easy to get and priced great.
That’s fair, if they make them in house that’s awesome. I trust eibach and they make great springs and I’m sure they are good shocks too.
The 5100s were a known known. Eibach didn’t provide a lot of data on theirs. I honestly think the eibach are just rebranded 5100s but I could be very wrong
Teraflex front spacer (.5-1.5”) and a day star .75” rear spacer would get you the small lift and maintain you rack that keeps the truck from squatting too much when you carry cargo in the bed.
Bilstein 5100s are great shocks too for the price point.
The unofficialuseonly.com also has a the bumper for pre-order. I kind of dig it, with its super low profile, no frills vibe.

Nothing too crazy but I have been wanting to get the rooftop tent off the topper.
i needed a trailer to carry a motorcycle at times. Being able to take the crossbars off and have a plain utility trailer makes everything work well.
I do plan on putting a 3500lb axle and putting 315s on it just...
I have had 5100s on since I put my lift on 2 years ago. On and off road, I love them. They are paired with eibach springs and I think it’s a great combo. Firm on the road and compliant offroad.
