Hey! Thanks for the observation! Those are actually pictures of the prototypes we made (images we need to replace). The productions panel's dimensions were changed to get rid of this issue.!
And as far as it tearing - from our experience, it's been very durable! We're using marine flooring found on sea water boats, which is a pretty harsh environment. Pulling cargo or debris over it hasn't been an issue - it's tough stuff. If there are any issues, it's covered under a 3 year warranty!
