I have had the 285/70/17's in my Jeep since last November- about 10k miles. Left them at the 38psi for too long when I first got them and the middles wore pretty fast, have been running 30 front 28 rear and it seems to be better. Worst case I may have to push for that 45k mileage warranty at...
It sounds like near a pillar but hard to tell really. I'll check the plug but it seems higher up. Only thing I can really figure is if the door is slightly racked, not compressing the weatherstrip towards the top
I know it's a jeep but just curious if anyone else noticed more noise from the passenger side. I have a hardtop and a sunrider and the sound is the same with both. It's not bad just had always seemed weird that is only one side
Believe it's like 25 miles pure electric range. Mpge is a rating of efficiency, they use a unit of electricity equal to a gallon of gas to give an equivalent to mpg while on electricity
That is a -12 17x9 4.5bs, 285 tire width. For me personally I would've liked closer to 0 offset but the deal on the wheels was too good to pass over a half inch. Now I just need to do a bit of lift for it to look better IMO, oh well, could have worse problems lol.
Yeah weight was my concern with my original idea of wrapping a piece of masonite. I was a little concerned about adhesion to the foil of the Kilmat but definitely not too concerned about the Kilmat letting go. I was going to just do the recesses but when the piece of Kilmat fit almost perfect I...
Got some Mayhem warriors wrapped in Yokohama X-ats 285/70/17(33.1") mounted up. Also applied some 3m film to the leading edges of the hinges, unfortunately a little late for the lower rear hinges.
I just put on some Yokohama X-ats. There is an increase in noise from the h/ts on the overland but it's not bad at all. The ride is firmer but the dealer aired them to 42 for some reason, I will be lowering the psi tomorrow.
Got some 285/70/17 mounted up today. I like that they are taller than the rest. Specs say 33.1". Can hear them but not load at all just obvious compared to the highway tires.
Thank you. It seems every time I look at has at least some complain about wet traction. Think it probably comes down to inflation, vehicle loading etc. It probably also doesn't help that most of these reviews come from hd trucks with at least 800lb ft of torque.
Now that is been awhile for most people in this thread, what do you think of the tires now? Getting ready to order but nervous about wet traction. Found a couple reviews that didn't sound that positive. My wife will be driving the kids to school and don't want her to have a reason to not like...
First tow, just putting the boat away for winter. 23' Monterey deck boat, about 5300lbs. Towed fine, spent a decent amount of time in 5th when on the hills. We traded a hemi Durango for the Gladiator and while the power difference is obvious-Durango probably would've stayed in 6th on the hills...
Thanks, I have an overland so the narrow axles, but thinking the -12 would wind up pretty close to what you have since I believe the axles are about 3/4" wider each side
