I like the Goldilocks but I think I would have preferred the INCA Gold. What I REALLY want to see the return of is the late 70's early 80's Rootbeer brown color
I have used Consumer Reports to find out what is a great off road vehicle. If CR states "it drives like a truck, has horrible on road manners" I look at buying it. Over the years their "truck" suggestions have been things like Honda Ridgeline, or Subaru Brat or Baja (whatever that thing is) all...
I have had the Kenda Klever's for several years now and still have tons of tread. They are fairly aggressive tread being an RT and no road noise. I wanted 35's and skinny so they fit the bill, I was also looking at the Cooper SST at the time I bought the Kenda's.
I will look into the Mickey...
Riding with my father and neighbors going deer /pig hunting in N. California Dad had CJ 5 and neighbor had a 1972 Jeep Commando (so wish I had that one in garage)both with the little 304 v8
I started doing it 40 years ago when I started driving in a Cj5...then through years with YJ, TJ and now JT. Over the years I feel less people wave... I still do. Still wave when on motorcycle to other bikes as well. What other car owners do that?
I left the stock Alpine deck, however I am going to replace it. The A -pillars are Gladen tweeters with the midrange under dash (knee). The 3.5" dash are DS18 Mids. Soundbar has two Gladen 3 way 6x9s and a Helix v8 DSP amp. For bass I didn't want to loose under seat storage so I went old...
I am pleasantly surprised. I was very disappointed in the last generation of the Ranger. Everyone has an opinion with likes and dislikes but I thought the last truck was ugly.
I have a co-worker who purchased the new Chevrolet Colorado. It's a nice looking truck on the outside an improvement over previous generations. The interior is still lacking in my opinion. I am not sold on the small 4cyl. turbo engine. Yes, we live in a time where you can put six turbo's on a...
I am not audio expert but JL makes nice stuff. I have the Alpine system and if you look they have 4" speakers in an area that could hold a 6x9's in the soundbar. When I had the grills off I think you would still be cutting out plastic for a 6.5.
I just bit the bullet and bought Gladen 6x9's...
Worth it? Yes, its pretty good. I have a Rubicon loaded and came with the Alpine system. I replaced the dash 3.5 with better 3.5 Alpine S series. The sound bar looks like 6x9s but get grills off and the stock ones are like 4" or 4.5". Replaced those with Alpine S series and while I had...
I like it. Beauty is always in the eye of the beholder, but this looks like a cool truck. Previous generations of the Chevrolet and even Ford with the Ranger look too rounded off and I was not a fan. I hope they upgraded the interior because it was in dire need of an upgrade. The new 1/2 tons...
I love the red dash, in the color Jeep I have with the matching red sticking. However, I wish it could be a selectable option. I think Rubicon red (dash, decals stitching) looks great on certain colors like granite crystal, white, black, silver and sting gray. Other colors I can think of...
I'd also add when you go to sell it, its still an Overland with lockers. The first question I'd have is where are the shop receipts because if they were installed by Cousin Kooter at his law mower repair shop..I'm not interested.
I have the Corsa Sport exhaust, it sounds pretty good I think. One of the better sounding mufflers I have had on a 6cyl. By no means does it sound and have the tone of a good V8 but for a 6 I am happy with it. Throaty down low at idle and pretty ripping loud when you get on the throttle. Not...
Congrats on your Jeep. I was going to pass on LED lights at first and a friend of mine who had a 4 door Wrangler told me to definitely get the upgrade because the halogen lights were really weak. I have to agree, not like LED is anything "new" and any vehicle I'd say over 30K should have LED...
Excellent video and a fair comparison. I have owned both the FJ and various Tacoma trucks and multiple Jeeps. One guys opinion but I have owned both brands pretty extensively. First, I loved my FJ and I am not into hard core rock climbing or driving washboards at 60 mph but I do use my trucks...
I decided to stick with Alpine and replaced the 4" speakers in overhead bar with Alpine S series. What made even a bigger difference is I put sound deadening inside the bar. I also replaced the dash 3.5 with some better Alpine than stock and put sound deadening behind them as well. Its not like...
