just got it back from the dealership, as expected they couldn't replicate the issue so they can't do anything. They did some some stored codes though.
Stored Codes:
TCM-P1DAF-00 (incompatible Limp Mode)
PCM-U0418-Implausable Data from Brake system module 1
TPM-C0077-00-Low Tire pressure...
I don't think this is an issue with the shifter moving or popping out. I was able to cycle through the different modes (4hi,4lo and even 2wd) and that didn't seem to resolve the issue.
I find it odd that once I shut the vehicle down and let it sit for 5 minutes, it seemed to work perfectly...
Both of the rear tires were spinning, neither of the front two were doing anything.
I was aired down to 20psi when before driving on the sand, airdown to 15 psi one we got stuck.
Since labor day is over, I took my 2021 gladiator mojave (4K miles) on the beach this past weekend and I had a strange issue with the 4X4 engaging.
When pulling out onto the beach we almost immediately got semi-stuck. We had the vehicle in 4-Hi part time, traction control off and Offrode Sport...
That is what I assumed at first, but that is described in multiple sources as a clicking or buzzing, however what we are hearing is a harsh metal on metal grinding noise. Its defiantly not a clicking or buzzing sound.
Just a small update on this.
We took my Wife's 2021 Wrangler (sahara) on the beach this past weekend and experienced the same type of noise that my 2021 Gladiator had when the ESC was kicking in. It was not as loud or noticeable, but the exact same sounding noise and vibration was there.

The dealer said they couldn't find any issues (codes). They wanted me to try and record it next time I experiencing the problem. I have not had a chance to get back on the beach in a couple of weeks due to weather and other things going on in my life.
The "clicking / buzzing" reference is...
I recently got a 2021 Mojave Gladiator and took it out on the beach driving. I had it in 4 high and turned the ESC (Electronic stability / Traction control) off. When I was driving i noticed a metal on metal grinding noise and felt vibration in the steering wheel when going over some bumps /...
my wife is having this problem with her 2021 Wrangler Sahara that she just got last month. Heated seats and steering wheel don't come on when she remote starts it. Temps have been in the high 20's to low 30's here some morning. Temp sensor on the radio is saying its 55 outside when its not even...
A little self righteous are we? Of course I am paying enough attention to not run into the back of a truck, I am not an idiot as you imply. However its very easy to not notice that your cruise control slowed you down a lot match the speed of that truck. Both my wife and I didn't like the...
That is exactly why I didn't want the adaptive cruise control for my jeep. I had it on my Toyota Rav4 and HATED it. If you weren't paying attention you were going 55mph behind some truck on the interstate with a 75Mph speed limit.
Welcome to NC, there are a few of us here from the Wilmington area. The local jeep dealer (Hendricks) will go to 7% below invoice if you press them and tell them you know about Tri-city pricing (3 hour ride from Wilmington). My wife and I just purchased two jeeps in the past 2 months and got...
I thought about that as well when I ordered mine (and my wife's JL). I went ahead with the cold weather group instead of just the remote start because it was only a couple hundred more. Living in coastal North Carolina, the temp rarely drops below freezing except overnights. I find the heated...
Talked to my dealer yesterday and my Mojave is at the local rail yard just waiting for a truck to bring it to the dealership. Should be less than a week.
Ordered 10/10/20
7% off FWP would be 47,421.63. I would consider that a good deal. As for the online tool, its always been "buggy". I noticed a lot of the time it would change other options at the top the further you went down the page, esp when selecting packages. I would double check to make sure the seating...
When I used the online config the desitintion charge was included in the total. It only shows it in the details at the bottom of the page in the summary. My dealership tried to pull that with me and I had to screenshot it to show the desitination charge was included in online config price.

My guess is profit margin is higher on the overland. Most people want some of the convenience features that come standard on the overland and giving a "discount" on the overland models gives sales people a better chance to upsale someone looking at a Sport or Sport S because they can narrow...
Its pure marketing. People who want a Mojave or Rubicon are willing to pay for it because they want the specific capabilities they more than likely already have their mind made up.
The overland models are geared towards your average consumer just looking at different vehicles and trying to...
