Had this happen with a GMC truck i bought in 2016, had sub 3k miles. I hit a snag at 3400 miles and GM corporate got involved and it took 3 months for them to agree to fix a super well known issue. I traded it in the next month, i wasnt going to deal with that nonsense for that much money.
ugh, that sounds horrible. I'm sorry. These trucks are too expensive for the problems they appear to be having. It's a bit scary reading the forum how many people have the same issues.
I got a better-than-I-paid offer from Vroom, so I submitted the documents to see what happens.
well, I am back from my NC trip. The vibration is still present, but "better" than it was. Still not OK considering I had no vibration before the TSB. During the trip, the JT developed a pretty good hesitation when cruising and light throttle is applied. It's most prominent in third gear...
you understand the phone volume correctly, but mine does not seem to be independent. I had read some threads about how to adjust each and after trying it i secided rhe 8.4 uconnect may work that way but the 7 (or maybe mine) does not seem to
i didnt mention it earlier, but i was pretty confident it was a “oohh actually this pitman arm was loose...but we should balance these tires just in case...”
I was trying to give the benefit of the doubt, but i really cant see this being the tires out of balance.
typically i work on my own...
Update: Dealership called, they went ahead and balanced them and think everything is good. They said it looked like my inside weights got ripped off by something. I'm wondering if when doing the TSB the tires got moved around and the stick on's got ripped off.
I'll pick it up tomorrow AM and...
Lugs are good. I actually told the dealership "If it shook this at lower speeds, I'd think the locker was on or it was stuck in 4wd". It's only really bad at higher speeds. At parking lot speeds, you cannot tell at all. At 35-40 you can tell it's not right but could think it was road or wind or...
I do not have any set, and almost never have music playing. It's been decel each time, right about when I hit the 25mph mark
I actually checked for this. Even wear, 33psi cold in each tire, 37psi warm in all 4.
The catch is how much worse the shaking is during turns. Going straight it's a...
Oh, for sure. My trip isn't their fault and I don't really expect them to solve for that, it's just bad timing. The service department quickly said nothing is wrong except the tires. We got to that point on Monday and mapped out the next steps. And again on Tuesday.
To your point, they are...
Let me start off with the fact I really enjoy driving the JRT. In theory, I love the vehicle as a whole. It fits my needs, its' comfortable, it's capable and it's modular. It checks all my need boxes and most of my wants boxes.
But. Working with the dealer to solve issues is just starting to...
I just did this exact debate, ended up with warn. Im new to winches. There are a few side by side comparisons, but i figure if i am going to spend that much a little extra isnt a big deal.
I have it in my mind that you should not link two D ring shackles together (ie: winch line terminates to a prolink with a d ring on it and you connect to a d ring on the other vehicle) yet i have not been able to find anything that supports this.
Am I just wrong? In my mind it would be OK to go...
Lots of hate. The JT isnt for everyone, i love mine and some days i think it isnt for me. I have driven my JTR 6mt in some pretty solid snow/ice with some very strong winds and its not the most confidence inspiring drive. I can understand why a heavier vehicle would call to you, but in reality I...
