  1. Good Bye Gladiator - Hello Grand Cherokee and Challenger

L While I do appreciate this forum community, it never fails that there’s always that moronic person who lacks the ability to to read a post and comprehend the content in its entirety vs just focusing on a sentence and then using that to express their narrow view which is taken out of context...
  2. Good Bye Gladiator - Hello Grand Cherokee and Challenger

Thanks Willpower1. I’ve gotten a lot of complements in the last week since purchase. Not sure exactly what it is about it’s looks, but it caught my eye out of a dozen or so. While not as smart of a buy as a equally equipped Charger that has better back seating, I just couldn’t resist. Then...
  3. Good Bye Gladiator - Hello Grand Cherokee and Challenger

Interesting group of comments. That's what I appreciate about this community. The one's that best relate to my post, IMO, is the "setting of priorities", "all vehicles are compromises", and "flawed logic in 2 for one". My priorities, in order of priority: 1) Comfortable highway vehicle, room...
  4. Good Bye Gladiator - Hello Grand Cherokee and Challenger

I wanted a new 4x4 Pickup, the wife wanted a Wrangler Unlimited. The natural compromise, a loooaded Gladiator Overland, or was it? I did the usual doing a number of conservative upgrades myself; wheels/tires, mopar lift, front bumper, etc. Maybe 4K in total. I really, really, loved this...
  5. Mopar Trailer Brake Controller for Jeep Gladiator Officially Released (Part # 82215652AB)

You can install dead pedals.....see my post with pics in this tread.
  6. Cracked Windshield Club

There's got to be something about the aerodynamics of these vehicles which is increasing the likelihood of rocks hitting the windshield vs other/older models. 18,878 miles, 17 months of ownership, just got my 5th windshield cracked. I too have had a few CJ's, TJ's, over the years with...
  7. mopar 2in lift

I did my lift just about a year ago this month. At the time ShadowsPapa and I were comparing data. He was updating his after buying what I believe was some Rubicon take-off springs. He used the 444/445 max tow springs with the 3/4 Daystar spacers and I had my stock springs with 3/4 Daystar...
  8. mopar 2in lift

Here's the pics, 2: MOPAR lift, minus rear springs (using stock), plus 3/4" daystar spacer. One thing I am changing is the rear springs to a Max Tow spring. The stock ones are too soft for towing. It sags too much with just a little weight on the hitch.
  9. mopar 2in lift

Mine is an Overland, basically stock, with steel front bumper no winch, stock rear bumper. Paid 1200 for Mopar 2" lift kit at dealer, and self installed in about 3 hours in the driveway. I was looking to even out the front to rear rake, and get a bit of lift. After installing the Mopar kit...
  10. Key Fob Mod

If you really think about it, FCA was looking out for our safety when designing the fob knowing that we travel in far off and isolated areas. :) Think about it for a second, It opens nicely in our pockets with the press of a button, (OK, so sometimes unwarranted, I'll give you that), has a...
  11. High Altitude Gladiator for highway use?

So it seems we are in agreement then. The JT is the most comfortable and best handling JEEP ever. However, being less aerodynamic and having removable panels/doors, it still remains to be noisier on high speed highway driving than most other 4x4s. I too got what I expected and are not...
  12. High Altitude Gladiator for highway use?

Sure do. It’s ju Sure do! It’s just a brick pushing through the air, pure and simple.
  13. High Altitude Gladiator for highway use?

I've had CJ's, TJ's, and Libertys in the past. So, I'm not new to Jeeps and Highway usage. Now that I have a JT, when purchased I never expected it to as great on the highway as a car or pickup which is designed more aerodynamically, and I have not been proven wrong. I have an 2020 Overland...
  14. Mopar roll up tonneau troubles

I believe 2020 and 2021 have different mounting locations in both the front and rear mounts. I installed a Mopar roll up cover on my 2020 Overland. It didn't have pre-installed rivnuts. My cover uses the lower hole in the front with M6, 2021 uses Upper hole with M8. See this thread for...
  15. Mopar Trailer Brake Controller for Jeep Gladiator Officially Released (Part # 82215652AB)

Getting the M.O.R.E. bracket that has the screws mounted to it in place is tedious. So much so, that I found it was easier to remove the driver kick panel to gain better access. To do this you need to unlock and decouple electrical plug, carefully insert a screwdriver into the tab on the black...
  16. Mopar Trailer Brake Controller for Jeep Gladiator Officially Released (Part # 82215652AB)

Confimed....M.O.R.E Dead Peddle DOES fit with factory MOPAR Brake Controller. As promised, I order ed the pedal and installed it yesterday. As expected, the pedal bracket which follows the contours of the dash brace to which the controller is mounted does interfere with the controller...
  17. What did you HAUL in your JT today?

Monday - Hood to 49 Ford Pickup Friday - 58 boxes containing 1500 soft of hardwood Flooring. 14 in bed, 44 in trailer. 2300lbs, + trailer. Sunday - 60 interlocking wall blocks Tuesday - 40' towable boom lift. Putting her to work! Got say - love the back up camera with zoom for hooking up...
  18. Mopar Trailer Brake Controller for Jeep Gladiator Officially Released (Part # 82215652AB)

My Lincoln has a 12vdc plug inside the center console bottom. My plan is to reinstall the original outlet Inside the center console by purchasing a $10-20 drop in tray and mounting it in the bottom of that leaving some extra wire so I can still lift it out. While I had the dash apart I extended...
  19. Mopar 2" Lift Labor

Yeah, duh ,drag link not track bar. The lift moved the axle about 1/4" to the left so minor drag link adjustment was needed to level the wheel. I saw no need to put in adjustable track bar to shift axle back to center given it was only 1/4". Bought it back in Dec. 2020. Got a 15% discount on...
  20. Mopar Trailer Brake Controller for Jeep Gladiator Officially Released (Part # 82215652AB)

I'm not sure that I would agree that they both can't be made to fit.....here's why. I installed my controller... the controller mounted to the bracket using upper hole in the bracket bend and one way up high on that same bracket, while being mounted on the outside of the bracket, per the MOPAR...
