  1. Shock Warranty Replacement: FOX Discontinued?

Thanks, everyone. I have the truck back with the red superseding part number shocks. Heavy rain last night so hard to say on the ride quality difference yet. I donā€™t go off-road (yet) so I will likely not be able to share any feedback there. The replacements are fully covered by a black plastic...
  2. Shock Warranty Replacement: FOX Discontinued?

I asked and they said I couldnā€™t keep them. I understand from the mfr standpoint.
  3. Shock Warranty Replacement: FOX Discontinued?

Thanks, everyone. Sounds like the newer shocks are liked better anyways. I went ahead and gave them the go ahead to replace. Once my OEM tires run out I may consider fully upgrading the suspension.
  4. Shock Warranty Replacement: FOX Discontinued?

Very helpful video, thank you. Kinda bummed to lose the aluminum bodies but then again I donā€™t off-roadā€¦yet.
  5. Shock Warranty Replacement: FOX Discontinued?

Understood completely. Truthfully I did think the FOX units were cool when I bought it because I know very little about trucks (as opposed to cars) and I recognized the brand as very respected at least from me as an outsider. If the Mopar replacements are universally better I can accept that as...
  6. Shock Warranty Replacement: FOX Discontinued?

Hi Folks, My dealer needs to replace one of my ā€˜21 Rubicon shocks due to suspension squeaking but says they can no longer get the OEM FOX units. They have to replace all 4 with fully red Mopar parts (see pic). My first thought was that FOX was a major selling point for the Rubicon trim level...
  7. Survey- For those with misfire issues

Got mine back after 28 days. No codes so far maybe 100 miles or so. Canā€™t help but feel the truck still seems sluggish but maybe my imagination. They did the manual trans ECU update without asking but I guess the gear indicator in the dash was a cool surprise.
  8. Survey- For those with misfire issues

Mine (2021, Dec build, 6MT) has been sitting for 25 days now waiting on a valve cover gasket. Anyone else waiting on this part? Dealer says oil leaked onto O2 sensor causing the codes which seems to be accurate from what Iā€™ve seen others say. Iā€™m only around 6000 miles or so. They say they are...
  9. 2021 Gladiator (no mods) highway steering instability

My 2021 Rubicon was the same and now with 4500 miles on the tires it isnā€™t as noticeable. Iā€™m starting to think itā€™s these tires.
  10. Recall: Manual Transmission / Clutch Recall for 2020-2021 Jeep Gladiator (Notice: 21V-028)

This makes no sense to me. Seems like some part would be causing partial engagement / disengagement so why not fix that? Instead they are going to monitor (with what sensor?) for the symptom and then detune torque?
  11. Is it dumb to wait on MY 2023?

I waited and lost my shot at Gobi. So I regret that. Now I have a Sting Gray. But Iā€™ll be pretty irritated if they change out the 3.6 for a boosted line 6 in a few years.
  12. Rubicon 392 starts in mid $70k's

Curious why the blower didnā€™t work out? Just nothing added on the low end where the 3.6 needs it? My end goal is a DIY hemi swap retaining a manual but that will be a long ways down the road due to the cost/time. I was thinking blower as an intermediate step once warranty runs out.
  13. Mopar Trail Rail Kit Installation

Did this today. I'd asked the LineX shop to plug the holes...they did not. So it took me around 3.5 hours including prep and cleanup and making my own thread chaser bolt. Most of that time was cleaning up the holes. I carefully drilled the bedliner out of the openings of the holes and then...
  14. Rubicon 392 starts in mid $70k's

Insane. No thanks. Iā€™ll do a blower on the JT and keep my manual and my bank account. Iā€™ve got something lighter with nearly 700hp to get my speed fix.
  15. Mopar Trail Rail Kit Installation

Wife gave me the trail rail kit for Christmas. I don't have the bed LineXā€™d yet...should I wait to install the rails until I do that or is it pretty easy to take them off for the LineX and then reinstall (especially the nutserts?)?
  16. Gas mileage

Getting 16.X mostly highway and 17.0-17.2 all highway. Max speed 74mph (everyone blowing my doors off canā€™t go much slower). Rubi manual totally stock. Iā€™m no stranger to driving for mpgs. Donā€™t see how on earth the EPA 16/23 ratings are legit. Unless it is the optional MT tires? Iā€™m guessing...
  17. Manual Transmission Club

I really donā€™t understand the gearing in this thing. I thought the JK 6spd was acceptable, wouldā€™ve preferred that in the JT. 5th and 6th are way too tall. I get why 1st is so short I can accept that. The 2-3 drop is a bit wide. Havenā€™t had a manual vehicle where I had to down shift on the...
  18. New JT Gladiator Steering Issue TSB 08-074-20 (for "Improved Steering Feel")

I checked cold pressures this morning. 39,39 fr and 39,36 rear. Not enough to matter I would think but I got them all to 37. Maybe a slight improvement but overall still constantly correcting the steering on the highway. Maybe the new boxes are hit or miss or maybe there is an alignment issue...
  19. New JT Gladiator Steering Issue TSB 08-074-20 (for "Improved Steering Feel")

Just took delivery of my new 2021 Rubi (totally stock). Built early this month (December). Steering is all over the place. Going to check my tire pressures tommorow. I crawled under and I think the steering box is painted black. I had a 2018 JK and I donā€™t remember it darting all over the place...
