  1. Favorite Aux Accessories

I ordered my Mojave over a hear ago with the 4 aux switches and haven't added a single accessory yet. Now that we've all had time to live with our add-ons for a while, what are your favorite auxiliary switch accessories? Please include a link if possible and bonus if there's a black Friday deal.
  2. Former Sport owner: Differences between Mojave and Sport manual

It does make a difference, although it isn’t dramatic. The gearing feels better suited to the Pentastar, which is a peakier motor not well suited to get ultra-tall gearing in the Sport. Honestly, it just feels more natural. Like you’re not fighting to wind it out enough so that it doesn’t lug...
  3. Former Sport owner: Differences between Mojave and Sport manual

Part of what motivated me to write the post is that the Sport is arguably the better Gladiator for pavement, and I had no issues taking mine on some pretty tough roads in Big Bend with upgraded tires. That said, I love the look of the Mojave.
  4. Former Sport owner: Differences between Mojave and Sport manual

That's an interesting perspective on gearing. When towing, I'm mainly using either 3rd or 4th. My main frustration was being unable to maintain freeway speed with any incline or wind in 4th. I was hoping that lower gearing might allow me to more comfortably maintain 4th on the freeway without...
  5. Former Sport owner: Differences between Mojave and Sport manual

I drove a manual Sport S for 18 months and am now driving a Mojave. I like driving, which is why I'm a manual Gladiator owner. I thought people like me might want a head's up before ordering. I bought the Mojave after deciding to move to lower gears. After pricing regearing and noticing that...
  6. Gupton Motors up to 8% below invoice

Picking up my sarge green Mojave tomorrow morning if anyone wants me to snap a photo of their Gladiator on the lot. Great suggestions in the thread on ordering. Do your homework, build it yourself, contact Daniel, track online and you'll be in good shape. Also note that they're not doing...
  7. When will there be a Gladiator 4xe ? ? ? ?

Although I'm also a manual only guy, my wife has a plug-in X3 and I love the ability to go most places on electric power with the flexibility to take a long trip using gas. For most drivers, this is a great compromise and there's nothing like the smooth torque of an electric motor. Also, we've...
  8. Rear seat delete with foam floor for dogs - cheap, easy and it works great

Definitely do the 60 split delete - there are a lot of long bolts that hold the seats in.
  9. Rear seat delete with foam floor for dogs - cheap, easy and it works great

The seat covers are from PRP (https://www.prpseats.com/) and the fabric is opal tweed. I've had them now for almost 2 years and they still look like new and fit perfectly. Even though the opal tweed is a weave it's durable and doesn't stain.
  10. Rear seat delete with foam floor for dogs - cheap, easy and it works great

I got this one for my other car and highly recommend it. It has a screen right where the rear vents are located in the Gladiator for better cooling: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07CMZ11TX/
  11. Big Sur Overland Trip Pictorial

That looks like old Highway 1 - one of the most amazing Jeep roads in the states. https://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g240329-d260278-Reviews-Old_Coast_Road-Big_Sur_California.html
  12. Rear seat delete with foam floor for dogs - cheap, easy and it works great

Thanks - seats are from PRP (https://www.prpseats.com/) and the fabric is opal tweed. They fit over the stock fabric, so installation isn't terrible (although I had to unbolt the seats).
  13. Rear seat delete with foam floor for dogs - cheap, easy and it works great

I'm posting because this solution was so easy and is working even better than I'd hoped with my three large-ish dogs. Step 1: Removed the rear seats and the plastic storage bin. Step 2: Buy a $50 4 inch firm foam slab from Amazon...
  14. First weekend with Sport S manual transmission and 3300 lb travel trailer

So you would do a 4.56 swap with 33s for towing? Am I looking at $1,500 to $2,000 to get this done?
  15. First weekend with Sport S manual transmission and 3300 lb travel trailer

Wanted to share my notes from towing a big trailer with the base manual. First, the combination of gearing and engine performance isn't ideal for towing. I found myself only using 3rd and 4th gear, and the pentastar seems tuned for horsepower and not torque. It's fun without a trailer, but...
