Did the same for my dash cam. Dropped the windshield and ran the wire around it. Pulled off that small panel and ran the wire right into the engine bay. Its a much shorter route and is much easier and cleaner looking than using the clutch linkage route.
Would highly recommend this to everyone.
I picked up a Garmin Mini since it hides fairly well. Paired that with a wiring kit that shuts off if voltage drops too low. So far the longest my truck has only sat without being driven is 2 or 3 days but the battery hasn't been dead and it's started up just fine...
JL forum is saying those won't work on JL or JLU so I would believe they wouldn't work on a JT then. Real bummer cause I would also like a solution to help out my Lab.

Everytime I use Mjolnir on it I short out the truck and have to replace all the fuses. And if I use my full strength I fear I'll sheer the bolt clean off. It's hard being a demi-god.
My Quadratec dead pedal finally arrived yesterday after 2 months of waiting. I ran out and bought a 13mm deep socket since I didn't have one. Got the pedal put together and leaned under the dash to loosen the nut and ...... that thing will not freaking move. If anyone has gotten one and gotten...
I've got a dashcam that is wired to the battery, records even when the truck is off. Doesn't stop the theft but it could be a deterrent if they notice it. Or it can help with police paperwork or insurance. Just my $.02
Razer blade, mini screwdriver, and some patience got the RFID out. I did mess up the factory fob a little to get it out. It is still usable and I could put everything back in but I don't plan on using it again so I'm not worried.
I would definitely recommend checking out the Threedom Key Fob over the AJT design. Personal preference but I love my threedom fob. Maybe the best upgrade I've made so far. It is smaller, lighter, easier to assemble, and has a good key solution.

I would definitely recommend the cold weather since you're in the northeast. And the heated seats have 3 (high, med, low) settings so if you don't want your butt on fire just put it on low. As many other people have said it is also nice to have when you have the top off
Big fan of my Willys. Good balance between off-road and on-road. A good bit less expensive then a Rubicon. I would definitely recommend you look more into them.
@crdouglass3 Is there a way to, or are there plans to be able to, buy additional key holders? I'm torn between the micro and traditional and since they are only $2 each I would be happy to just buy both.
Weathertech Mud Flaps do not require the tires to come off to install.. They were easy to install and took maybe 5 minutes a tire to install. I would highly recommend spending the 7 dollars and picking up a plastic rivet removal tool though. Its not necessary but makes it a bit easier.
