All the steering linkages passed inspection. There is as at least 1500 kms of strong arm steering between 2nd and 3rd pump failures. Iām sure glad those held up.
The first three transmissions were also during Covid so we had everything from lack of workers, supply issues, quality issues, lack of certain chemicals required to make products etc etc
My 21 JTR (90k kms) is on its 4th transmission. #1 - #3 had a whine. #1 had a whine at highway speeds, 8th gear. #2 and 3 had the whine in first and second gear and was determined to be pump malfunction and were replaced.

At the end of the day today, was told the pump will be warrantied. This of course, is always good to hear. They found a pump 1.5 hours north in their warehouse. This is also amazing news after being told by two sources, thereās no pumps in Canada.

Yesterday morning recalling what I did in attempting to restore power to the pump, I first took off the ground wire to the upper post, cleaned it up, used a brass brush on the matting points and put it back. (I did not undo the battery for this) There was no spark on contact if 12v is constant...
