When I encountered my ābatteryā problem, all I had was a high voltage reading off the alternator all the time. I was sure it was that damn āaux killing the mainā. I was proved wrong.
My 2 year old Optima main was going south taking out the aux. Taking out the aux, leaving its entrails in place...
Well that super sucks! When I took my Optima battery back at just having it 2 years, they gave me full price refund toward the AC Delco I swapped for. Ended up getting a bunch of cash back.
Tires get prorated here.
The camera will come back on. Iāve had this happen when Iāve had my batteries out. Sometimes it takes a couple hours, other times, itās back up and running the next day.
Yes,ā¦.āā¦let it be doneā but then let us watch what happensā¦
If you are one that has racked up a gazillion miles and this is your first pan drop, I wish all good things to come of it and I can only hope that you would send off a sample to the lab and ask for an oxidation number.
We can then...
Had the pleasure of travelling north 3.5 hours to Edmonton on Monday! Finally doing a road trip that had me going there and back in the same day. Truck loves the road trips and I saw another drop in transmission temps.
I said above that after my 3rd pan drop was when I noticed temps drop. Then...
Hereās a graph showing both full and semi syn ATF. Sure itās Ai, maybe thereās some wiggle room for discrepancies in how it comes up with the curve but if itās in the ball park, we as drivers should be noting what temps we get up to and consider that maybe itās ālifetimeā could have shortened...

I have the Mucar CDE 900 pro. I can only speak to this tool I have which also requires the annual license subscription with FCA to have full security gateway unlock. This license is bought through the Mucar diagnostic tool.
Parts guy told me the actuator was getting weak and will do that. I then talked with the shop Forman who said itās important to do a recalibration when itās installed.
I have that same thing happening. I just picked up the actuator motor and will get the T20 tool needed. Glad the motor is right on the side of the recirculating door.
For me, if I saw that, Iād have a sh$&! But many have seen those temps before and Iād guess the consensus would be from some who are wiser and much smarter that the oil and tranny can go even hotter before thereās concern. Heat kills trannies but I donāt know at what temperature heat starts...
Interesting read. For whatās its worth, I wonāt save a few bucks to buy Max Life or ZF Lifeguard off Amazon. What ever I spend on this truck is a business write off anyway so whatever the price is for the Mopar 8/9, at least I can see, hold and use it. My money going the other way⦠wonāt see a...
