Well that super sucks! When I took my Optima battery back at just having it 2 years, they gave me full price refund toward the AC Delco I swapped for. Ended up getting a bunch of cash back. Tires get prorated here.

The camera will come back on. I’ve had this happen when I’ve had my batteries out. Sometimes it takes a couple hours, other times, it’s back up and running the next day.

Here’s a graph showing both full and semi syn ATF. Sure it’s Ai, maybe there’s some wiggle room for discrepancies in how it comes up with the curve but if it’s in the ball park, we as drivers should be noting what temps we get up to and consider that maybe it’s “lifetime” could have shortened...

With a diagnostic tool that can recalibrate, relearn, actuate. I have the Mucar CDE 900 pro. I can only speak to this tool I have which also requires the annual license subscription with FCA to have full security gateway unlock. This license is bought through the Mucar diagnostic tool.

Parts guy told me the actuator was getting weak and will do that. I then talked with the shop Forman who said it’s important to do a recalibration when it’s installed.

I have that same thing happening. I just picked up the actuator motor and will get the T20 tool needed. Glad the motor is right on the side of the recirculating door.

Are you hoping to gain access to the tranny through there? What do you hope to see…besides the obvious?

For me, if I saw that, I’d have a sh$&! But many have seen those temps before and I’d guess the consensus would be from some who are wiser and much smarter that the oil and tranny can go even hotter before there’s concern. Heat kills trannies but I don’t know at what temperature heat starts...

Interesting read. For what’s its worth, I won’t save a few bucks to buy Max Life or ZF Lifeguard off Amazon. What ever I spend on this truck is a business write off anyway so whatever the price is for the Mopar 8/9, at least I can see, hold and use it. My money going the other way… won’t see a...
