Well it is finally over. The truck will be sold today. After 4 axle leaks enough was enough. Thank you all for everything. Good luck to everyone that is having this issue and i hope Dana gets this figured out soon. Dana ruined a great truck. Best wishes to all!
Im not impressed with the factory spray in bedliner, Its pretty thin and there is a couple places that i can see the paint from the truck where some thing pulled a little piece of it up. My next truck will have linex. Just what ive seen anyway.
So i picked it up 3/28, and i drove it home and parked it. Since im getting rid of it, ive been driving my DD anywhere i go to keep the miles off of it and to try to keep it from leaking again. My lawyer is going back and forth with FCA so i cant do anything until thats settled. So ive drove it...
I was towing a camper home from storage, to go camping 3 hours away. Luckly my oldest got sick an hour before we were going to leave. So that's when I crawled under there to take a look. God was looking out for us for sure!
After having the second housing replaced, I could hear a slight "clunking" sound anytime I stopped then started driving again. And I've never heard it before, So when I got home I crawled under the truck just to look over everything. Then I found this gem right here
This time its like it would only leak in the wheel stopped at a certain spot. I noticed it 800 miles after the 3rd attempt. There was a oil spot on the inside wheel. I wipped every thing off and kept a eye on it, and it was dry for about 3 weeks, then one day i noticed a drip on the inside of...
4th attempt at a fix has been completed, Replaced the entire housing for the second time. so we'll see if it starts leaking before i get this thing replaced
When I tow my camper, every once in a while I'll have one or the other light up. Not even turning, just driving straight down the highway. It doesn't happen often, but it does happen
Im in the prcocess of having my second housing replaced. First 2 times the replaced the axle and the 3rd time they replaced the housing used the same axles I had, this time they are getting a housing from FCA that has the axles already installed. 🤷♂️
That's what I was planning on doing is showing them the window sticker. Just seems like Jeep put a lot of unnecessary confusion on this. When I put my VIN in kbb it does show up as a willys sport. But it sounds like all of them will come up this way, since there is no true willys designation...
I have gotten a few quotes and the come in at about 40k and when I do it on the KBB it comes in at 47k. So I guess the reason I felt like this might be tough is because they will have to take my word that it's not a willys sport, even though I have every option except for proximity locks and...
Yeah, I finally figured out where the confusion was coming from. The VINs just say willys sport, with no designation between the two. May make getting the KBB a little tougher. Honestly it's a very ignorant way to do it
