I ordered one yesterday too. If it only lasts as long as the BAK Revolver, it will have been worth the money. I might upgrade it down the road if the tri fold annoys me or hinders me being able to load an appliance or something. But seeing as I can't open my current top at all at the moment, I...
I just looked at those on Amazon. Just over 200 bucks and a thousand 5 star reviews. I see they're coming out with a solid aluminum one next month called the T5. I'm tempted to wait but that would mean 3 weeks of not being able to open my broken cover. It's in pieces held together with tape at...
Appreciate the quick reply. Is this the tri-fold or roll up? Guessing tri-fold but want to be certain. Seeing as mine is in pieces I need to order something next week.
I've been through 2 BAK Revolvers and loved them, but both have lasted only a couple of years. This most recent one was my fault: I tried to close it over a standing propane tank and it separated a joint. From there the glue started giving way, particularly on hot days. It's held together with...
I live in a small town called Black Mountain in western NC. After Helene, I was one of a handfull of people who had a vehicle that could even get to places that were flooded in to help people. I winched a fallen tree out of our street to even get out the first time (for everyone in my...
I drove my last truck (1996 Chevy Silverado) for over 20 years primarily to work and back and never had battery problems (out of the ordinary), let alone other engine issues. I guess modern cars are a different beast. There are days I wish I'd just kept it. I love my JT, but in 4 years I've just...
I suspect half the problem is my driving pattern. I drive to and from work every day with about 1.5 mile trip each way. The grocery store is about a mile. Downtown is .5 from my house. And then I have the occasional road trip where I might drive several hundred 2-3 times a year. But my usual...
Well sh*t, I would have deleted it and certainly will when it inevitably fails again. I was worried about having my first vehicle with even power windows, let alone a car computer (as I call it) altered in a way that could leave me stranded.
Well, for this time, I'm replacing both. But if the issue appears again sooner than I think it should, I feel safe removing the aux. I appreciate everyone's feedback.
Nope! Geez, I wasn't even doing that right! But it would show a full charge after doing it with the wire connected. The whole 2 battery thing is annoying when you get a warning after every startup, and if the main can do the job of both, that would simplify things a ton. I don't want to buy 2...
Naturally, the truck's warranty ran out 2 weeks ago. But I've been trickle charging it for several months now, and that usually fixes the issue for a while. Some YouTube videos I've watched recommend just capping off the aux battery and its wires, but I've seen Google recommendations to never do...
If you look to the right of this post, under my spaceman picture, there's a link that says "build thread". That's the one. But here's the direct link: https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/forum/threads/2021-sarge-green-willys-mostly-stock-build.42444/ I don't recall what it cost anymore.
I have not tried to call, but will if the message pops up again. I drove all weekend and don't recall the message popping up. Though to be honest, it's become such a part of the background I may not have noticed.
Not sure why this is happening. Everything went smoothly. Got the oil reset to 100%:
But every time I crank the truck, I get this message:
Anyone know if there's something else I need to do? And I've hit "remind me later" a good 20 times.
I have one and it's my second on a 2.5 year old truck. The first one started to do exactly what @azmojave 's did. BAK sent me another one for free. And said they'd keep on sending them if the new one wore out again. I'm happy with the cover, would prefer more longevity, but they'll make it right...
Thanks, that's crazy fast. I did get the hinge pins put on. So far I still haven't put the top and doors back on. I've had to run out and put on my rain cover more than a couple of times, but it's been worth it.
