Well...to each their own. I actually love it. I did it with mine and it looks amazing. It did exactly what I needed it to do (cover the wheel tread for state inspection) and I didn't need to cut it as the bend works perfectly. I should take a picture of mine...almost reminds me of the Trans...
Hey all! I know this question had to have been answered many times before but I cannot find the thread(s). I have a guy offering to sell me his 7” Wrangler JL touchscreen for $150 to upgrade my 5” screen. Will it work in my Gladiator? I have the old VIN.
For me all I'm looking for is tire coverage in New Hampshire to cover the tire poke (state law). I have mudflaps to take care of the rest but I see your point.
I have seen something today that blew my mind! A new Overland Gladiator ($83k) at a dealership with the Extreme Recon flares mounted to the front of the rear wheel well…and it looked perfect…no relief cuts! The last picture is from their website before they were installed apparently. Thoughts?
If you take them off I would just fill those holes with the nylon rivets or Christmas tree clips. I think they look great. They look exactly like mine XD
I thought they looked a little wide for 285's...I had 35x12.5's on for one month and with the -12 offset they poked way too far out...I would have never passed state inspection. Yours look perfect.
Just put on the fronts today...getting too cold to put on the rears. I'm happy with them and living in NH where they actually check to make sure the tire tread is covered by a "fender" this brings me back into spec.
Thanks for the information!! You Gladiator is beautiful for sure. I just swapped a set of 33x12.5's out for the 285/70's two days ago because the 12.5's were just too far out. My offset is -12 so only 5.5mm basically further out and my new tires are narrower than yours so I think I may be...
The Black on Black Gladiator looks amazing! What offset are your wheels? I got Fuel Beasts with -12 offset with 285/70 17 tires and I wonder if these Recon extensions will cover my tire (Required in NH).
