That's not an "oh *$%^!" handle - it is a poorly constructed riveted handle for carrying the thing if you remove the four bolts and take the box out of the Jeep. If you put any lateral stress on it the damn thing will tear right off the box. You can guess how I found out...
I’ve installed two. Take your time, make sure that silly little z bracket is seated well, don’t fold the fabric at the back, and I’ve never seen a leak. These are fantastic.
Sorry to be snarky, but you probably mean to get a winch, not a wench… A wench is never practical!:CWL:
Agree with your other choices though. I wish I had the steel bumper. Trail rails are a waste of money. Accessory switches are a great move. Also get the sun rider half soft top. Fantastic...
Creative! Looks like a great design to sell to Yakima or market yourself. Bet there are other folks here that would love these but can’t weld stainless! Nice job.
Get a cordless driver for $15 dollars at Harbor Freight (with coupon) and you can have the sunrider off even faster. https://www.harborfreight.com/power-tools/drills-drivers/cordless-drills-drivers/4v-lithium-ion-14-in-cordless-screwdriver-kit-64313.html
Solid, well designed, a tad pricey, but...
Yes, but doesn’t control the rest of the lights unfortunately. Short of using a taxer, I think the portable radio may be the best answer to the problem. Darn shame.
Glad I could share - great times out there! Amazing to get away from everyone else and hang out with the jeeps over sand. Just watch out for all the seals and the sharks!
The Gladiator comes from a long tradition of toplessness - take it all off! My sun rider, top, and doors were off all of last week, then we took the windshield down and our time oversand at Nauset Beach was spectacular. Ended up in a nasty thunderstorm today and had no leaks. I use the Jeep tool...
Glad it worked for you guys. Looks like you had a great little nest set up! But unfortunately that didn’t work in my 20 Rubicon with LEDs… Luckily we had pizza boxes! No anchovies though, #jpjpjp!
Sounds like the answer is either buy a Tazer or dig out an old portable radio!
