  1. Reliable? Cool with cold weather? What's your experience?

That being said, it's quite warmer during the winter around Syracuse than it is in Rimouski, ain't it?
  2. Reliable? Cool with cold weather? What's your experience?

Yeah, -20F happens regularly around here and no, I don't have a garage. That sums it up, thanks.
  3. Reliable? Cool with cold weather? What's your experience?

So I guess you don't have answers for my questions?... Bummer.
  4. Reliable? Cool with cold weather? What's your experience?

Hello, interwebs. It's that sassy Quebecer posting with an approximative english again. Bonjour. So it turns out my wife really, really, really, really likes my 2DR Willys Wrangler and...basically wants me to sell her my rig. Like, she's bugging me with it. You know how it can be. Bad news is...
  5. BioDiesel for your EcoDiesel?

When I lived in Montreal, there was this little company about 15 minutes out of town who made biodiesel in its small...should I say laboratory? Anyway, they had government grants for research and stuff. With small mods on my '94 Jetta TD (about 250$ of special hoses installed by this bunch of...
  6. EcoDiesel in the (very) cold?

Yeah, so from what I can take of his remarks: if you handled a diesel in the past (which is my case), it's not a problem. That faulty DEF recurrent problem seems to be with the pump, however. So cold or not cold, you could end up with this issue no matter what. Amyryte?
  7. EcoDiesel in the (very) cold?

That's exactly my concern. I've read here and there the DEF tank is perfectly fine in the very cold, some reviews say the opposite. But the reviews saying the tank is freezing seems to come from gen 2 engines. Did they fix it with gen 3?
  8. EcoDiesel in the (very) cold?

I guess the additive was some sort of gas line?
  9. EcoDiesel in the (very) cold?

Might be built in the next few years, but not at the moment.
  10. Here we go: Jeep got me (us) hooked - and I want a diesel (good idea?)

Oh, we have our very right wing parties here and there. They're not called "Republicans" but, hey...they never miss a chance to look like total idiots. :D Just like in Muricastan, I guess. Hehehe...Ok, enough politics. HOOOOORSE POWER AND TORQUE!
  11. Here we go: Jeep got me (us) hooked - and I want a diesel (good idea?)

What can I say? She likes Jeeps AND she's not a republican. :D That's kind of the perfect deal. I'm just kidding, don't take it seriously. :)
  12. EcoDiesel in the (very) cold?

Hello there, bonjour. I live in Eastern Quebec so our winters are pretty harsh. We can reach temperatures of about -30 degrees celsius (-22 Farenheit) for weeks, sometimes. I'm seriously considering an EcoDiesel Gladiator and am wondering how this engine deals with this kind of cold over a...
  13. Here we go: Jeep got me (us) hooked - and I want a diesel (good idea?)

If you fancy a 35 year-old absent dad who works 80 hours a week dealing with people who's sick with COVID, I might be your guy. :D
  14. Here we go: Jeep got me (us) hooked - and I want a diesel (good idea?)

We can get the cold weather package, but not in the Sport S trim. You have to get the Overland. I raised an eyebrow to this one too... I also could've gone for a Passport (that one really came close to a deal) or a 4Runner...but hey. Convertible truck? Come on, beat that.
  15. Here we go: Jeep got me (us) hooked - and I want a diesel (good idea?)

...I'm actually 35. But I pay all the bills. :)
  16. Here we go: Jeep got me (us) hooked - and I want a diesel (good idea?)

You'll probably laugh at this one. Right now, just before I got the Willys, I owned an AWD CX-30 for roughly a year. Good car, does what it has to do, but boring a hell on the long run. Before that, I had a s*** ton of VW Golfs. All of them. A 2016 MK7 Golf R, a 2013 MK6 GTI, another MK5 GTI...
  17. Here we go: Jeep got me (us) hooked - and I want a diesel (good idea?)

Thanks, I saw that thread indeed. But the rough math ain't working in Quebec since diesel is much cheaper here (it's actually the other way around for us). If I do the same rough maths, with the kilometers i'm doing every year, I pay it back in roughly 4 years and a half (oil changes and DEF...
  18. Here we go: Jeep got me (us) hooked - and I want a diesel (good idea?)

I was warned it might happen. Hi. I'm your official new Jeep guy from Quebec, Canada. Hello. So yeah. Hum...Just got my 2DR 6MT Willys. When I say "just got it", I mean...4 days ago. And yeah...my wife really likes it. Even more than I love it, I think. So...hum...she's offered me to sell...
