  1. A new low for our civilization… clutch fried by valet parking attendant

I did tip him--quite well, IIRC--when he gave me the car back. But then he disappeared quickly enough that there was no one to discuss the smell with. And I had no time to wait around. Dumb. :(
  2. A new low for our civilization… clutch fried by valet parking attendant

Clearly I've been spoiled by the parking guys at the NYC garage where my other car lives. They whip vehicles around frontward, backward, whatever, into tiny spots, around obstacles, into and out of elevators, etc. etc. Better and much, much faster than I could do, and I provide myself on car...
  3. A new low for our civilization… clutch fried by valet parking attendant

As far as I can tell the clutch recall just reprograms the engine to reduce torque when the clutch gets hot enough to start a fire (!!!). Shouldn't be an excuse for a fried clutch. I guess the valet is just lucky the truck didn't burst into flames under their abuse!

Smelled like clutch, but I was in a hurry and figured, ehh, how bad could one trip from the parking garage be? Surely a windows-down spin down the...
  6. Crooked parking-brake lever?

Wow, leave a few crumbs of spilled dried liver dog treats under your parking brake and everyone gets on you! ?
  7. Crooked parking-brake lever?

    Great, thanks!
  8. Crooked parking-brake lever?

Hi from a new Jeep owner. I’ve had my truck for a few months now, and noticed that the lever for the parking brake is misaligned (or at least, not aligned with the rest of the console). Is that the same on everyone’s truck? Or is mine screwed up? It doesn’t seem to have affected the brake’s...
