I like the idea of the Trigger system. Need to rig a way to mount on a 67 Designs or BulletPoint 20mm ball so we can place it in any of the places they work.
Jeep is going crazy this year with the 12 releases and stuff like this where they hype it up, add a few little things to a standard trim and charge a lot more. I would rather see them REMOVE stuff and drop the prices significantly. How about a "stock" Rubicon with no power windows, basic radio...
Mesa Verde (2nd that)
- Petrified Forest NP can be a relatively quick stop & memorable if you just drive the loop and take a short walk to see the forest of petrified trees on the ground.
- Also do the junior ranger passport and get stamps at any National Parks you can hit along the way.
- If...
I got a Rubicon steel front bumper take-off from the dealership before I ever picked up my 21 Mojave - they fit a steel skid plate as well, not sure what it took.
After I pulled the bumper off to add a winch mount and winch the front dropped about 1/2-3/4 inch. And I did notice bottom out...
I was thinking about using the bolts from the rear of the front seats to attach a d-ring to strap things down. Steel strap would also work well I bet. This way they are not "in the way" whenever I have passengers but always there to fold seats down and strap in gear and no drilling required.
OK, I guess I am talking from memory... they used to offer a dual-door option and the soft tops standard used to be half doors. I didn't realize they removed that. You can still get half doors from mopar for JL's & JT's but apparently they are giving those up to aftermarket.
Sorry I...
They had a countdown on the jeep.com site specifically for the Gladiator Convoy. It didn't say it was an anniversary edition or part of the 12 four 12 program at all.
I shouldn't have been surprised, but with the Stellantis descriptions of the concept and the announcement that they were releasing a convoy model my hopes were raised. Silly me.
I hoped they would do the J hood, half-doors and brown or tan top & seats...getting closer to the look of the...
I searched around and found this...which if you try to "Build Yours" it isn't available.

Looks like the convoy is just the Anniversary Edition for the Gladiator, similar to the Wrangler setup. Some color and seat changes but nothing like the concept.
I love the idea of the Range Extending EV, it is what Jeep SHOULD have come out with in the first place. SCOUT introduced the idea a few years ago and I think others took notice. Sad for Scout in that they announced it while building a production facility and now others are going to hit the...
I agree with you that the vast majority of Jeep and Wrangler owners are not off-roading. It is a good thing for the rest of us who do use as intended. :)
The Jeep Recon is the full EV, and I believe Jeep stated a year or so ago that it would be their full EV rather than the Wrangler. But in...
