I always open it from the inside: at 15mph it’s a perfect soft opening.
anything 12-19mph is decent.
I close it from one side - just be gentle, guys have torqued them out of square, especially on the JK’s.
I'm not a Jeep expert, but I am the plow expert. - No Meyer on a Jeep -
I had a Fisher 6'9 on my TJ.
Fisher is good - HS is what they offer now.
BOSS makes a Jeep worthy plow as well.
- No Meyer product is worthy of your Jeep -
The standard we’ve always ran with for dunes is 8 psi in the back - 12 psi in the fronts.
I ❤️my JTRD in the sand, but it’s easy to see why the made the Mojave especially for dunes.
Ive been pleased with the towing of my JTRD:
Have towed 6 different trailers weighing 800-4500#
2hr trips were the longest.
Towing will cut the mileage from 24 down to 18mpg.
Wind resistance on large campers and rag top back cuts fuel economy.
Plenty of power to go 85mph / pass on hills where...
Not good.
Competition makes things better for the end user.
- I'll never buy a Bronco, but that option makes Jeep come out with improvements and better products -
Soft top for this guy - probably goes up and down 2-3 times a day. (daily driver/work truck) Takes 2 seconds to open from the driver seat and 10 seconds to close (I get out of the vehicle for that)
We are doors off and back window out every weekend now :)
"Safari" mode may be one of my favorites...
