Thanks
I did make a couple triangle shaped cubbies for tow straps etc, you can kinda see them in one of my pictures. Im trying to keep weight down low for stability.
The 42s are definitely a bit much, but they just look "right" on these trucks.
I am still trying to plan out my spare fuel...
+1 on complete lack of customer service.
Been waiting 8 weeks for something advertised as "3-4 week lead time"
They dont return phone calls or emails. I'm debating filing a chargeback at this point.
Quick update:
I am still waiting on some solar controller parts to come in, but in the meantime I did get my fridge mounted on a custom built slide & tilt tray.
I did have to change the opening mechanism hinges over to the short side but overall it's great.
Coated with herculiner
the new upper level is 50" wide which gives me just enough room to reach my inner tie downs & I can still reach the trail rail.
It is full length from cap to tailgate
This one is two sheets of 5/8 plywood glued together but I left 3" channels between the laminated...
I wasn't happy with the original blackstone setup & the upper level. I decided to change everything up and make my own DIY bedslide + re-make my upper level.
Did the usual 3" aluminum L channel & nutsert mount method.
I need this to be a low profile as possible.
I glued two 3/4" sheets...
Used some heaters and got it bedlined. The lift top hinges are too big. Unfortunately ill have to go with a standard opening now.
Still trying to figure out a way to hold this down without drilling into my bed.
Turn buckles just aren't solid enough to hold it in place. Im going to look...
Had some time to work on my slide out kitchen. Its about 36*f today so I couldn't bedline it but atleast its assembled and works.
I used 16" vevor locking slides
With my 42" spare in the bed i had to notch the tray so my blackstone would fit. Unfortunately i have to remove the knob to close...
When I first took delivery the rear truss I wanted wasn't available (artec) and I just never got around to it.
At that time a few people were having rear axle leaking problems too, and I knew if I trussed it that would most likely be an automatic warranty decline.
Anyways years later, no...
Update:
Motobilt cargo rails needed a 1" spacer to clear the inner lip of the rsi smartcap.
I made mine with some 1" x 1.75" x 4" bar stock.
Got the platform done as well
NY road salt cooked this rack, needs to be refinished.
Its taking up room and I just want it gone. I think I paid almost a grand for it new.
Comes with all hardware needed for mounting.
Located near BUFFALO NY
This is perfect thank you. I made the shelf platform 54" so its about 1.5" clearance with the factory rails on either side
I just needed to see approximately how far in i need to cut the relief slot for the center clamp as that's the only one that interferes with the platform.
My smartcap is on the way & I am currently working on an in-bed platform before it gets here.
Could someone please provide me the width between the clamps that hold the topper to the bed? I need the green line measurement below.
Thank you!
Also i forgot to add, back in 2021 i installed:
5.38 gears
Eaton E locker
Complete synergy HD steering setup & sector shaft brace
Artec truss & gussets to front axle
I forgot to take photos but a couple years back i put motobilt fenders on my truck too. You can see them in the pictures above.
Moving forward here's what 4yrs of NY winters did to my bed rack.. ruined.
I removed it and bought an RSI Smartcap
Found some brackets from motobilt that I...
