Everytime it happens to me it's the phones fault. Still takes me at least a half hour to find what got changed but it has always been the on the phones end. Very annoying.
So it seems to me that they did not install the new "June" revised axle as they said they would. I guess I'll just have to wait like everyone else to see if it leaks again.

Yes. Folding the front will leave maybe 5 - 6" open. You can easily access the clamps and fit your arm fully out. Only problem is the tight mesh shade would restrict you from reaching back to grab the Sunrider when it is opened.
Magne-Lok sun shade. I can not lift or close the Sunrider while driving with the sunshade in place. I need to step out to do that. The front of the sunshade is magnetic and you fold it up to reach and secure the Sunrider clamps. I'm sure while driving and catching air assisting you could...
