Not sure I would consider the Compass and Cherokee as comparable. I test drove them both and the Compass was like driving a can on skateboard. Obviously an exaggeration but it felt and drove way cheaper than the Cherokee.
I know I'm not one of the herd but I never understood why I should pay to advertise for something. Never wore the motorcycle brand name adverts. Always remove dealer stickers. If someone was giving these items to me for free than I might. But to pay for their advertising just seems weird...
I went with Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S. Not super aggressive but good road manners. I have extra rims so I use these in the winter and the stock Bridgestones in the summer. Same size and nearly the same weight.

The GF and I spend a good amount of time spring and fall shooting chippys and squirrels. If we don't they will be everywhere and getting into everything. And we have owls, hawks, eagles, snakes and fox around too helping to keep the numbers low. Can never kill enough. But it's still fun.
Got rid of Faceplant a year ago. Don't miss it at all. I really thought I would. Found out that many people I know have bailed on it too. Hopefully it will just go away.
Just took it for a 20 mile test drive. Lot's of hills and windey roads. Handled perfectly. I estimate the weight to be around 2100lbs so nothing drastic. Next will be an enclosed trailer of the same size with stuff in it. Only mod is Timbrens in the rear.
