I think I neglected to mention this is a manual 6 speed. It was in neutral with parking brake applied.

I noticed this morning when I stopped for a cup of coffee and left the gladiator running when I got back in the start stop had activated and the heater was blowing cool air. Once the Jeep started back up heat return to normal temperature. Is this normal, or did I somehow miss it in the 3 years...

My Gladiator came with elastic band with buttons, I'm sure they all did. I roll it up, slip on the elastic and snap it to the buttons on the underside of the roof.
