How much does your enclosed trailer weigh when loaded? I have an 18' enclosed car hauler that will weigh around 6-7k loaded with a race car and gear. I would love to have the option of towing with a Gladiator but not sure that's in the cards unless I keep it very light or only tow it during the...
It only has 15:1 CR so that's not that crazy for an aluminum block. It looks surprisingly compact for a straight six, I wouldn't mind having one based on what I've seen and read about the engine. I wonder if it fits in a Gladiator, might run cooler than a V6 diesel.
Where the stock "vents" are located should be an area of low pressure above the hood. Having vents there rather than ram air should allow the higher pressure air that's under the hood escape through the vents.
You'd be better off having a ram air intake either at the leading edge of the hood or...
I've never owned a Jeep and have been trying to decide what I want on a Gladiator too. I'll get most of what you've mentioned already. I can't decide between the black or painted hardtops. I'll also get the front camera, I can see it coming in handy especially off-road. Initially I thought I'd...
Great thread to find since I'm trying to pick between a Gladiator diesel and possibly an AT4X if it's available with the I6 diesel. If I keep my current Sierra, it will be the Gladiator for its size and going off road. If I need to sell my current truck, it might have to be the AT4 depending on...
I was just watching YouTube video and a diesel Gladiator derated while they were on a trip. It was loaded for camping but towing. In his case, after stopping a dealership, it turned out to be a dirty engine air filter. Might be something to keep an eye on and regularly change.
I'm really struggling with which Gladiator to get for an overland rig, a diesel Rubicon or a Mojave. I'm a big diesel fan but some of the issues I'm seeing have me a little worried. The Mojave seems pretty good out of the gate really . . .
Thanks for listing/sharing all of these campers. I was only familiar with the Scout, Alu-Cab and Four Wheel Campers. The Phoenix one looks great, I like that it can be removed. The Alu-Cab Canopy Camper is something you don't remove until you it or the truck. I'm still deciding on which...
I'm new to this site and to Jeeps. I've wanted one my whole life and I'm finally in a place both financially and practically to get one. I've also always been a fan of diesels. This thread has me rethinking the Jeep with a diesel.
Did the person who opened up the hood "vents" on their Rubicon...
