"the most capable off-roader Jeep is bringing to the Easter event."
Yea I love the gladiator concept, but I'd put the 392 up against that gladiator on any trail.....
Agreed, Coilovers have two main advantages, packaging and tunability. The longarms will provide more immediate benefits both on and off-road. Most these folks putting coilovers are doing so because someone else told them to, no idea why other than they look cool.
I think this would be a good start. So order 4, they are the same size in the dash and in the soundbar? are they plug and play or do you have to change the wire ends?
Reading quite a few threads on sound installs and most seem over my head, I'm a suspension/off-road guy, never learned the sound side because I never cared. I'm not an audio-head by any means, joked that I've been tone-deaf my whole life.
That being said, made the mistake of buying the wire a...
You won't regret it, lockers will absolutely pull you through things that larger tires just couldn't.
I have a sport S Max Tow, so it already had the L/S in the rear. I opted for just an eaton up front when I put my 5.13's in. Open DIffs inherently send power to the path of least resistance...
Yea I need some more details on how you made the hooks. I have the same issue, super low ceiling height. I have a large carabiner basically that I've wrapped in pool foam and electrical tape. It's the only part of my lift system I really hate.

I bought this: 4Amp Fully Automatic Microprocessor-Controlled Battery Charger/Maintainer (harborfreight.com)
If I don't drive my Jeep for a week and then drive it I'll have the constant Start/Stop not ready message. If I put this on for a day or so my Start/Stop will work as normal for a...
with just spacers there isn't much that can be done other than straightening the steering wheel, which you can do at home if you own a wrench set.
it would probably help to find a set of rubicon lower control arms to get your caster back where it should be.
They make some really nice ones if you
Bingo, I"m sure there's some really expensive ones out there that are better, but I bought some from Advanced for like $4 each and they do fine when my top/doors are off. Useless on the interstate but most my topless time is spend around town.

describe the noise, is it a constant high pitch noise or a "UFO" type sound? Does it does it all the time, or just when your one the gas/off the gas/coasting?
Just pull fuse f42 and remove the negative cable from the aux battery to the main batter. Doe the same thing and cost you $1 in electrical tape with plenty left over.
Did almost the exact same thing, 37 and 4.10's for a while then started pulling my boat and knew I needed a change. 5.13's put my truck right back where it needs to be. I'm always a fan of overgearing, driving a brick on wheels will never be happy at 80+ on the interstate. Might as well overhear...
Bayliner 190 Deck Boat, probably 4-5K fully loaded.
Gladiator is on 37's with 5.13 gears. You can definitely tell it's back there, but overall does just fine. I do wish I had a double axle trailer instead of the hopped up single axle, but this setup does the job.
powerwash the body and either use an undercarage pressure washer for the bottom, or the old rotating sprinkler trick for an hour or so.
Once the physical stuff is off, just wash it as normal. I do a foam cannon and a 1 bucket system, or I take it to a DIY place and wash the body that way...
If you're on big dumb rims and rubberband street tires and get stuck in wet flat grass you MIGHT be able to use that to move yourself. Anything else would be less than useful.
That thing might say 3500lbs on it, but you'd have to be superman or use a 9' cheater bar to actually get 3500 lbs of...
My dream is to have a big boy lift at my house one day, I worked in an offroad shop in college that had a few 2-post lifts and I sure do miss them.
For now my 7000# quickjack is doing the job. At full lift it gets my gladiator (3.5" lift and 37's) barely off the ground with the truck/suv...
pitman arm to drag link looked good, so did the upper track bar mount. It looks like there was some difference between the tie rod and the axle, but that's a lot of leverage all the way back to the drive side tie rod, My guess it either tie rod ends or the axle side mount of the track bar.
meh, looks well built to me. no big stupid rims, Irok is a good tire and available in a radial, and clearly a 60/60 or 60/80 combo under it.
Not built for serious wheeling, but as a show jeep and conversational piece I've seen way worse.
