It was a pretty easy install. If I did it again I'd just buy the longer billstein shocks and not bothered with the shock extensions. I ended finding some open box billsteins for almost nothing on extreme terrain. Good luck!
Yeah, I'm on 37's because of an amazing deal and then a tire sponsorship. I'm on year five, my first step was 34's. I think it actually rides better now with the 37's. But yeah no rush, you go too fast and you'll either go broke or get bored. You on Instagram? I'll give you a follow.
✌🏻
Thank you. I'm getting by just fine with just a flashcal superchips for shift points and speedo. It's no Porsche, or a highway jeep. But it's my daily and off-roads perfectly fine. I do not beat on it though. I send it with love ☺️.
Gears might be next year, I dislike replacing factory parts...
I have the factory "option" spray in bed liner. The dealers in my area don't receive it from the manufacturer with the liner, around here they send the vehicle out to get the option sprayed in. Long story short, I've been very happy with it. Now 5 years later it looks pretty great and I have not...
I also had the noise around 70k miles on my gladiator willys sport and on my wife's Wrangler willys. It does appear it is an issue with the limited slip diff. Changed the fluid on my gladiator and it almost completely resolved it. My wife Wrangler is about 50% better but we changed the pinion...
I really love my combat off-road ones. Not the cheapest but the fit and finish are top notch. I also love that they are aluminum under the black finish. All my others have rusted out before.
I'm running a AEV 2" spacer lift with those billsteins on 37"x12.5 r17. I'd say try it then go regear if you miss the acceleration. I definitely needed my superchips flashcal+ to recalibrate the speedo because the shift points were trash with the 37's. I will say the billsteins were quite an...
My very first off-road trip with my gladiator resulted in multiple spare tire drags on rocks. NH is the granite state after all. So one of my first mods was a rugged ridge spare relocation to the bed. I like it a lot.
Here's my pics.
Here you go, first pic is 34" on teraflex leveling kit. Second is 37" on teraflex leveling kit. Sorry can't seem to find my 35" winter tire pics. I've had fun trying to get high without throwing away a lot of perfectly good stock parts.
I'm all in with the wave. I loved the community aspect of waving when I motorcycled so it's a continuation for me. The victory ✌🏻 thing is a bonus because my extended family has been woven into military one way or another. I hope it never dies.
Just put on a set of billsteins because I wanted digressive shocks for less floatiness in corners.. My wife has the fox 2.0 and they are super comfy but not firmer than stock IMO.
I can tell you the trail grapplers were fantastic for me, well over 40k miles and the best snow tire I've owned. Which is weird because they aren't a snow tire. My second choice in that list would be the toyos.
Been on 37's for about half a year. 3.73 gears. At first I had no speedo calibration tool with my old 34's, I quickly knew I needed one once I had my 37" Firestone destination m/t's installed. Didn't see 7 or 8th gear on the highway and lots of gear searching from the transmission. I installed a...
The flip-top is a very interesting idea, I'd love to try it out! I often wish it was easily to open my freedom tops, currently it takes me too long to remove and put them in the storage bag. It often makes me just get in and not remove them at all especially after work. This would make things so...
