Typically, its from a blown head gasket. Overheating is the first key indicator. Next would be coolant overflowing from the exhaust forcing the coolant into and out of the reservoir. You should also be able to smell the coolant and it smells more like exhaust than maple syrup. I had a gasket go...
I had these on a YJ years ago and they weren't bad. Especially if they are rotated properly. They will let you know if you haven't rotated them in a while. My YJ was super light and I for over 40k miles on them. I just bought 4 of these 15 mins ago
I had a stubby on my previous JT. I took an impact at the front passenger corner. The full bumper "could" have prevented more damage than the stubby but without the full bumper, I guess I'll never know. The impact hit the front bumper, fender and pass front tire... shifted enough of the frame...
With the Sahara models, you definitely did not get the Willys experience. The Sahara models typically have street times (if stock) and will have less of a rugged package when it comes to trim and comfort. If the Willys has a soft top, your noise level will be more than a hard top. If you get the...
Something that hasn't been said.... I bet with all of that work and the larger tires, I bet it has been regeared to at least 4.88's. If the previous owner was that meticulous with everything else, I have no doubt that was done also.
Depending on the lift, there could be a model number on the spring itself. It may be on the back side of the spring. If not, additional pics of the under side of the jeep would help others identify.
As Darth stated, the steel bumper will not be the best for vehicle protection in the event of a crash. We learned that the hard way. We had someone run a redlight in front of us and we hit the side of a honda fit. We completely destroyed the honda and the gladiator seemed ok until it got to the...
I ran 37's with no regear for 2years with no problem. If you have an auto, you will never see 8th gear. I reprogrammed for the 37's but never did the regear. I had 4.10's already.
Same... We don't have a garage currently and I've never parked a jeep inside of one when we did. My jeeps have always been too tall to fit inside anyways. I've never had issues with paint (minus a front TJ fender...they are known for that) or fading. In the summer, we often travel to the beach...
We have 24's in the lots around me. Not many but they have started to arrive. I'm headed to the dealer closest to me to check it out in person tomorrow.
I had a crankshaft fail in my 2009 JK and had to have the entire engine replaced. This was at 67k miles but I hadn't heard of this happening in many other JK's.
I had some ghost issues. The JK would just shut down completely when driving. I would pull over, restart and went back to driving...
I have a bed cover. I lay a beach towel on the bed cover, slide the top back enough to sit the back edge on the towel and then I tip it up. From there, I slide it to the driver side on the towel and carry it away.
