That is some horrible luck! Sounds like you may have had some faulty glass
In the original post I wasn't trying to tell anyone anything, Just relaying my experiences. What's wrong with me? Not enough time to tell ya'
Sincerely sorry for piss'n you off.
I really like your bobtail XJ!
Sure sorry you took my experiences and observations personally, but I guess It doesn't take much to get those three little grey cells red hot!
If you, unlike the majority of us are "often" driving your jeep over 100mph. Possibly someone should tell you how to drive...
True the glass was most likely better, but you have to factor in your driving(following distance)habits as well as the fact that most of my old CJ's hardly ever saw 60mph. Now days when a rock hits your window I would guess it hits at 30% higher closing speed.
Back off a little and pay...
Right at 19,000, absolutely love it!
Really disliked the clutch from the get go. With a bunch of good advice from forum members I put in the Centerforce clutch 6,000 ago and no looking back. No electrical, engine or drive train issues. Owned a bunch of jeeps over the years, still own four. By...
Three years is ridiculous, I've owned many other vehicles with factory and replacement batteries that lasted six to ten years with propper maintenance.
I can walk out to my old CJ5 in the barn after three months choke it, pump it a little and it starts right up. This auto start stop, garbage...
Genesis dual battery system. If my secondary battery craps out again, (12,000 miles, one year on the factory) I'm not messing with it any more. The genesis system is the way to go. Really smart set up.
My Jeep is a daily driver 40 minutes each way to work. It never sits more than two days. No...
I believe you are right on. When I talked to the guys at Centerforce they said the dual friction setup would handle some serious hp and was appropriate for heavy hauling. But if I remember correctly even the Centerforce II was good for in the neighborhood of 500hp. So I opted for the lighter of...
It's actually normal to get some minor clanking noises from the trans mine does or did, I haven't really noticed any changes yet. The manual even states that the transmission will make light clanking noises when shifting.
I contacted Centerforce a few months back and had them get me the item...
I want to thank you guys for all of your advice and feedback on your new clutch installs. My JT is now sporting a Centerforce clutch heavy flywheel and hydrolics.
The new clutch is by far my best money spent on an upgrade. The new flywheel retains energy way better. This not only smooths out...
