I'm not holding my breath. They'll find a way to screw it up and turn what could be great thing into another fiasco. Maybe design a triple disc clutch that can barely handle a lawnmower torque.
I had the manual gladiator, the gearing sucked and the tow rating. You'd think engineers could figure out a decent solution for the price of these trucks. It's not new science, manuals have been around a long time and have backed high power motors and towed high weights.
I had to replace the windshield every year in late summer early fall in my '21 rubicon. The crack would start at the bottom passenger side. It would start small and them bloom across the window within a couple days. No rock strikes or star cracks. The first was 2 months after I purchased...
I just got a 20FB Caravel and a '25 Rubicon X to tow it. I had to trade in my '21 Rubicon with the 6sp manual for the '25. It tows alright, you're not going to break any speed records, but I haven't gone over many big hills here in Indiana. It didn't seem to have much sway from the wind...
I had a '21 rubicon with the base radio 7" screenand it played mp3, WMA no problem. 64 gig usb worked good took a while (~1 min) to read before browsing. Recently got a '25 rubicon X and it sees 82 tracks out of ~11,000 on the usb drive. I tried saving files as different formats and that...
I have 64g usb with 11,000 tracks (books and music). It worked great on my '21, took a couple minutes to read to browse the list. It always started playing the previous track from when the vehicle was turned off. I got a '25 last weekend and it only sees 82 tracks wtf. What changed in the...
That's one thing I miss from the TJ. Put it in gear and crank to start. Not good for the starter, but necessary in some off road conditions. Much like comparing an E-bike to a real bike, automatic to manual.
How thick is that metal? I went through a buck at around 45mph in my TJ with a smittybilt XRC bumper. No damage at all, only a little hair in the which cable.
Mine rarely activates. Although when I first got the gladiator it would shut off at stoplights and I kept turning the motor back on because I thought the motor had died. This was because of some of my previous vehicles dying at stoplights. Now the auto stop only happens in drive thru's when...
Just throwing this out. Does it seem like the 6MT is more of a passenger car transmission and not a light duty truck transmission? Or are the engineers and designers at Jeep purposely using an inadequate transmission to provide more reason stop producing the manual?
