@ Feels amazing building your own stuff doesn't it.
It actually does. It makes me fall more enamored with my rig. After this build, which I am still adding too, I can't see myself owning any other vehicle besides the Gladiator/Wrangler.
Now....the sad part is....if someone ever rear-ends me...
Thanks everyone for your encouragement! A buddy and I added the lift last weekend. We completed the job in two days. It was about a ~15 hour job....we're no dummies but not having impact drills set us back and there are quite a few "gotchas" where we had to refer to YouTube or think outside...
I appreciate your comments. I do have a secondary vehicle and my buddy installed a 2 in lift on his JK. He has all the tools in his garage and he's willing to help. With all the positive comments I'm leaning towards doing it myself. Like a poster said, at least I know it's done properly and...
Knowing things are done correctly resonates with me. Other shops in CA are charging $1200 - $1350 so when the guy quoted me $800 it reminded me of the barbershops where haircuts were $5 because their letting trade students trim your hair. Ya know? I don't want a "you get what you paid for...
Thanks for your input. With an alignment at about $150 that puts the lift at $650, haha (which makes it even more enticing). I do like knowing what's going on with my Jeep and the pride of working on it myself though.
I'm hoping someone can give advice to a first time Jeeper who is getting cold feet installing a lift.
I purchased the AEV Dualsport RT 3in lift for my gladiator. I've read the instructions, matched up everything on the undercarriage, watched a few poorly angled videos but my confidence just...
I'm in the same position. I do a good bit of overlanding so I'm leaning towards
AEV Dualsport RT 3in lift with High Capacity Springs because I have the RSI smartcap and will also add a rooftop tent.
Great set-up guys. I ordered the Expedition One Single Swing bumper in Dec/2021 and it should arrive within the next 2 weeks. I'll also post photos to give the Sarge Green folks some love. Gobi can't have all the fun!
Question: I'm in California (which could be the problem), what did you do...
Morning everyone!
"I live or spend most of my time in the Bay Area, California.
I’m willing and able to travel ~1000 miles from there given 90 days notice
my first choice of destinations is MOAB (Chicken-Corners Trail) my second choice is
any trail good for beginners.
I’m not at all...
Old school machined is nice but.....I'd go with the satin black. The machined just "pops" too much. I'm more of a "blend in & not attract too much attention" type. But then again....the gladiator commands attention of it's own, ha.
@Your setup will work fine. 35s and you want to retain towing.... regearing.
Thanks for the extra pair of eyes syreeves!
@PS - your rims are fine.
:fist bump:
Lmbo. I suppose the important thing is I am using the tire calculator site correctly. Thanks for confirming.
I love those rims...I suppose if there weren't oddballs like me the manufacturer would stop selling them, lol
Hello fellow Jeepers!
This is my first thread (although I have commented on others post to help when I can) so ANY support/thoughts you can give to point me in the right direction will be MUCH appreciated. I also expect a few trolling/asinine comments as well and those....eh....people need to...
Since this is the only "Failed Smog" gladiator thread I'll add my two cents as I also faced this issue. Hopefully this thread will help others as it has helped me. Thanks ThePhotoBus!
Trim: Sport S w/ Max Tow (Custom order)

From the article (and my sharp skills of finding the silver lining):
1. Wind gusts up to 65 mph
2. Jeep shaped like a brick
My guess: He's warning Jeepers of cross winds while driving through Des Moines. ?
Hi Gegna4!
Introduction: I'm a new Jeep Gladiator Forum member. Ordered Sarge Green Sport S Max Tow on 10/29 from Kent in Nampa, ID. I've been meaning to introduce myself to the forum perhaps this isn't the thread ....anywho.
I have the coverking cover & Kilmat sound proofing sitting in my...
