Hello fellow Jeepers!
This is my first thread (although I have commented on others post to help when I can) so ANY support/thoughts you can give to point me in the right direction will be MUCH appreciated. I also expect a few trolling/asinine comments as well and those....eh....people need to let out their frustrations so...I'll graciously ignore them. Anywho....

Preliminary Info
Model: Sport S w/ Max Tow
Year: 2022
Clearcoat: Sarge Green
Purchased from: Peterson's Jeep (Nampa, ID)
Mods: Smart cap EVOA Sport, Nerf Bars, Locking Gas Cap, Locking Hood latches, Coverking Headliner w/ Kilmat sound proofing

What do I want to do?
I want a 17x7.5 or 17x8 inch rim (keep it close to stock) and I want to wrap it with a 33in or 34in tire. I'm having an issue understanding what's possible. I found a rim/tire calculator site that I think is very good:

https://www.wheel-size.com/calc/?wh...70-17X8ET30&fcl=50mm&scl=50mm&wcl=50mm&sr=0mm

For RIM I'm considering: American Racing Outlaw II AR62 17x8 +30 (offset) [OEM offset is 44mm]
For Tire: Goodyear BFG LT315/70R17

From the website above it looks like everything should fit with a slight positive scrub radius.
(Hey, I'm learning as I go. Previous to the Jeep I drove a 2003 Toyota Corolla for 19 years.)

Gotchas?
I don't want to affect the max-tow rating so I want to stay with 17in tires but am willing to increase the width by .5in to 8in. Ideally, if I ever need to tow I just want to have to swap out the tires and return as close to max-tow parameters as possible. I also what to keep the new RIM weight as close to stock as possible. I don't intend to lift this vehicle.

What's your question???
Would this RIM/TIRE combo work? Or have I overlooked something?

Lmbo. I suppose the important thing is I am using the tire calculator site correctly. Thanks for confirming.

I love those rims...I suppose if there weren't oddballs like me the manufacturer would stop selling them, lol

Your rims are fine. Your setup will work fine. If you go to 35s and you want to retain towing you will need to think about regearing. If you have the auto then you will not think you need it because your ratios are close together but you'll lose some mileage.

PS - your rims are fine.

Just a recommendation, find a set of mojave take off wheels and tires. That will give you the offset and a nice set of 33s without needing to research. Thats what I have on my max tow.

Machined or black? The machined wheels look awesome with Sarge Green! I just put those, but in 18", +30, with 285/70 18 Ridge Grapplers on my Overland earlier today. Yes, maybe it is an old style, but it's classic!

Old school machined is nice but.....I'd go with the satin black. The machined just "pops" too much. I'm more of a "blend in & not attract too much attention" type. But then again....the gladiator commands attention of it's own, ha.

Black has been overplayed for a few years now. It's starting to swing back the other way now.
