Thank you - mostly i wanted to figure out if there is some magic to the silicone hose method over the "caulk" method. I love this forum because so much of what is on here is "you should know the magic trick" type of advice.
Thanks Again!
Ryan - I have the same bumper and have been looking at light options. I pull a trailer for a boy scout troop and have had some over hearing issues with just a small light bar. Are your lights giving you any over heating issues? It looks like they block quite a lot of air from the radiator?
TO the OP and everyone else who is using this method ... I just discovered my leak and was about to run a bead of outdoor silicone - the kind you'd use on a house window. Is there a reason why your method - silicone hose squeezed in just right - works better than a tube of silicone sealant...
Thanks again for all your help. My son Mason remembers that trip and I think you made such a great impression on him - helping us get it installed even though we had just met. Was so great. Thanks!
I have an Upper Decker - I love it. Here is a video I made showing some mods I made to make it safer and to deal with some issues I think the original had with the hinges. Thanks to @Pat2Alaska - he sold it to me and helped me install it for the drive home. The Rhino lining he put on has held...
Took my son to the BWCA. This is Lake Superior near Split Rock on the way out.
Home built rack - $20 in wood and $30 in fasteners. The reason it is so high up is that I have an Ace Upper Decker. Kind of an unusual mod but it works for me. See
Are you saying that you needed to add a replacement sirius antennae and GPS antennae because the factory originals were not working with the front runner installed?
Thanks - CVT looks great and I like the functionality. But its hard to tell whether BA tents are poor quality. And CVT is pretty damn expensive. I am looking for something for limited use - 3-5 times a year - that won't stay on my JTR for long stretches.... and honestly I think a CVT would be...
Thanks - that makes sense. They have a larger version that is 88 inches long. Also - how high does your GFC open? BA Tents makes some noise about opening pretty high so there is less concern about slope near your fee.
Do you like the superlight? Am I correct in thinking that a lightweight...
Came across this company: https://badasstents.com/
I like their molle version - very light and almost like the Go Fast Ultralight.
I I also like their rugged "clamshell" version with the roof rack...
Prices are pretty good and they appear to be made in the USA. The first one can be...
Hi - sorry - have been offline for a bit. The sliders are rockhard 4x4 angled down versions. I had them bedlined with line-X. They are awesome and I would get the same again.
Many many things come from a bad ESS battery. They get blamed for a lot. I can't think of why this would result in your issue but... they get blamed for a lot of stuff here.
As noted by my local dealer - when the rocker went bad it ground up the camshaft. This is a known issue since this engine came out in 2011. Best of luck to you. Sorry
Your rims are fine. Your setup will work fine. If you go to 35s and you want to retain towing you will need to think about regearing. If you have the auto then you will not think you need it because your ratios are close together but you'll lose some mileage.
PS - your rims are fine.
I did my bumper, new fogs and my winch in one day. One LONG day. Cause not everything lines up perfectly sometimes and sometimes you break a clip or strip a bolt in anger and.... I ended up needing a professional shop to rethread one major bolt. I have the ABR Bondi Deluxe with SS3 Fogs (the...
Thanks. I'm going to have to assume that they cleaned up inside the top end when they put the camshaft back in etc. I'm getting a full oil change on Monday. No choice but to drive about 300 miles between now and then. My ride is my only ride... I'm doing the oil change at my preferred...
