In my original question I specifically mention that I have a Factor 55 Pro Link E. I also included a self depreciating description and included a picture. A fairlead mount (assuming you mean a fold down style mount?) doesn't work for me because most fold down in a way that doesn't accommodate...

I have considered bolting my plate to the ARB skid plate. But I think all I would do is make rusty holes and still get a ticket from a grumpy meter maid. But what you have described is definitely and option. Thanks!
