  1. Manual Transmission Discontinued for 2025

I wanted a beefier engine in MT. The 3.6 is just too weak. I guess I’ll swap it out once I’m done with this one. 2022 MT with 50k on it, 19a clutch recall finished
  2. JT/JL Clutch and Flywheel explained by ACT

do you have a lead on pre-recall software to do this? I’m bummed that aftermarket clutches which presumably fix Jeep’s initial failings are still subject to the half assed nanny fixes they attempted rather than make a good system in the first place.
  3. Wrong Size Shocks, or Just Geometry Corrections?

Yes, I looked into the airbag option. Decided against for now since I was going to correct my bump stop situation. Airbags in the future, maybe. But no onboard air either (yet).
  4. Wrong Size Shocks, or Just Geometry Corrections?

Makes more sense. I was using the term "bump stop" as the yellow foam piece you call the jounce. I am intending to use the timbrens to replace the yellow jounces in the rear, but that intention is hoping that will primarily upgrade the towing/payload driving as opposed to just spending money...
  5. Wrong Size Shocks, or Just Geometry Corrections?

For that rule of thumb, does that mean 2" of bump stop space (between the bottom of the stop and the axle platform) or are you talking about the size of the bump stop itself? If I'm reading your knowledge correct, my plans should work, TBD on real life install and measurements of the Timbrens.

Hello All Set up: 2022 Sport S Clayton Ride Right 2.5", HD rear springs Bilstein 5100, 33-305288 Measurements: Currently, My Bilstein rear shocks, at stopped/parked, measure to be approximately 24.5" in length. (tapemeasure attempt) According to tech specs, 5100s extend to a maximum of...
  7. Full recline soft top

I miss my TJ complete down as I posted. Best look and easy up/down.
  8. Full recline soft top

Has any manufacturer or industrious forum member attempted to create a soft top for the gladiator that reclines completely to the rear behind the seats akin to a wrangler ? I had a TJ way back when and the soft top was a breeze to open and close. I’m not a fan of the soft top currently opening...
  9. 4 extra gallons......where is it? Look MOM I can read with my eyes closed!!

Yeah. Out of curiosity I ran some new numbers with my current tank. Miles driven plus ā€˜remaining mileage’ was about 351, divided by 18.5 avg mileage is 19.02 gallons accounted for. Missing 3 somewhere.
  10. 4 extra gallons......where is it? Look MOM I can read with my eyes closed!!

I know I’m late to this party but in my Sport S 6MT, I ran out not too long ago on the side of the road. My ā€˜miles to empty’ was nearly dead on, as I was expecting another 20-30 miles because of prior fill ups of 17-18 on similar ā€˜empty’ notices. Nope. After putting in a gallon or so as a...
  11. Trailer brake controller recommendations?

Got Redarc liberty with harness and mounting bracket. Does the job for road trailering. Simple install (unless you complicate it) and Has optional push button feature for trailer-only braking. They have upgraded version for off-road over landing trailering.
  12. 2024/2025 JT+JL V6 Hurricane / 4xe / 392

Don’t want that even if you have one. Thriving popularity can only bring better and better options.
  13. 2024/2025 JT+JL V6 Hurricane / 4xe / 392

Not enough room? TJs has a straight six but I don’t know engine bay dimensions.
  14. Manual Transmission Club

Yeah i just had the same experience a week ago. Still smells right now every time I start it up
  15. Considering a clutch upgrade for my '20 Rubicon MT & the shop told me this...

They only recommend the dual friction for supercharged vehicles ? That seems like a small portion of potential upgrades.
  16. Stiffer Springs(coils)/Heavy duty Coils

okay. Yeah the homemade tables just threw me off.
  17. Stiffer Springs(coils)/Heavy duty Coils

Wait. I’m sure I’m reading this incorrectly. All of these are clearly stronger than any of the stock springs - max tow vs rubicon vs standard. But how do these numbers actually work? Clayton top rate is 360 meaning… what exactly in terms of weight ?
  18. Considering a clutch upgrade for my '20 Rubicon MT & the shop told me this...

Following because I’m in the same position just with less miles. If you get more info on why it wouldn’t work, please let me know. I’ve called shops in MI who have done several Centerforce clutches in JT and JLs.
