Just finished the install. Love the product but really wish you would package the correct OEM mirror replacement bracket instead of making us search for the right one and then buy it separately.
Ive never really needed heat inside a hardside tiny trailer other than a low voltage electric blanket under the bedding. Even then We've had to keep it turned way down. For AC we use a Zero Breeze portable unit that packs pretty well inside a Home Depot crate. I cut holes in the back of the...
I like the button control and ease of set up with the Gen 2. I dislike the fact you give up storage space for the controls and because of the external support structure. Losing the storage space was a deal killer for me.
Coming from a teardrop it took some time to figure out how to pack it, but now it fits like a glove. We have the original version which has more room than the new ones.
My wife and I have spent the last 8 years taking extended (5k mile, multi-month) trips in a Teardrop or now our Patriot X3. Lots and lots of lessons learned. One of the 1st lessons was about pace. Tiny trailer camping is good for about 3-4 nights dispersed before you need a night in a place...
I’ve done two 392 HEMI swaps. One a Dakota Customs kit into a 2013 JK and the latest an AMW4X4 kit into a Gladiator Mojave. You can’t go wrong with AMW’s customer service. They stand behind their product and their work. The Mojave axles are pretty stout to begin with so if you are just...
This only happens in 4-low when I try to switch to manual and hold the jeep in 1st gear. Goes into limp mode which requires me to shut off the jeep and restart it to get it back into park. When it happens the SERV 4WD and Transmission fault lights will come on and stay on.
Once I stop and...
Ending the year on a "high note"
Typically we head for warmer weather during the holiday season and typically if we are in Arizona in December, thats what we get. Just not this year. The upside was a great opportunity to drive BB in the snow and mud and get to see some amazing views without...
I did not, but thanks for pointing them out to me. A year ago it was pretty hard to find anyone with both the talent and the time to do the swap. Things seem to be a bit better now, but if I were to do it again I’d focus on a shop that specializes in doing them…in Texas prob Exodus in New...
Chasing Gremlins
Maybe this should just be a PSA post. Lesson learned upfront. Always check your tazer settings after your jeep has been in the shop. There's always a chance someone accident changed a setting. Three different shops had their hands on BB over six months so I have no idea...
A 2-fer
Finally with an evening free I managed to get back to BB. Two things to get done, one purely for convenience and the other an absolute necessity.
First the necessity
1. If you suffer leg pain while driving long distances do yourself a favor and jack up the front of your seat about...
Thanks. It took me 10 years to get my last jeep right (and I still have it). I figured I'd accelerate this one a bit, but I suspect you'll still see it on the roads 10 years from now. Look fwd to see more Mojave's down the road at Marble Falls
No more blinding the spotter
On a recent trip we were close the the end of a trail and it was close to getting dark when we found the trail was blocked. Had to turn around and run the trail (a double black) backwards to get out. Needless to say we were out there well after dark with a group...
