  1. Gladiator corrosion issue

I have this on my '22. Hood on lower edge both sides. There is a whole FB group dedicated to the issue. Went to the dealer which was yet another waste of time. Need to find one that has a body shop and see if I can get them to handle the repair.
  2. Fuel Filter Housing

Haha, tested to the fullest extent! It did its job. Did some of that fully loaded with hitch tire carrier, rtt and more camping junk than needed by a small army 😂
  3. Fuel Filter Housing

Here is how it looks now. It did have most of its shape when still bolted in. Took it off to change the fuel filter recently. These diesels are heavy and I think this one needs to be made of steel or double thick aluminum
  4. Fuel Filter Housing

Take a look at this one from Asfir - https://www.asfir.com/skid-plate-541171.html I have one and it is pretty good especially for casual off roading. Didnt hold up too well to multiple high centers however it did protect the fuel filter assembly. I am probably going to make one from steel of go...
  5. Show us what camper you're towing with your JT

We tow our '21 Lance 1685 and I have an older AT Overland Horizon that is getting rehabbed at the moment. Tows the Lance well with a WDH. Rarely tow it with full water so that keeps the weight down. Diesel with 4:56s. Same issue as others - keeping the oil temps down. Don't have a pic from the...
  6. Service electronic throttle control on 3.0 eco diesel

Not sure if it is fixed or not yet, but haven't had it trigger since the ecu flash at the same time as the HPFP replacement a month ago. Went out to the normal hill where it kicks off and no CELs. I hope that I am lucky enough for such an easy fix, but expect it will return when outdoor temps...
  7. AEV-Conversions -- Dualsport RT vs. XP lifts, any tangible differences that are worth the extra $$ for XP?

My day to day ride felt much better on the street, more planted, on the JK when switched over. On the trail it is significantly better especially on washboard or higher speed trails. The JT rides great street and trail, but I don't have a before experience to know how the RT ride is. Often the...
  8. AEV-Conversions -- Dualsport RT vs. XP lifts, any tangible differences that are worth the extra $$ for XP?

My JT has the XP set up and I had a JK with the RT set up. Upgrading shocks on the JK was a big improvement (went with Falcon's at the time). I would say any high quality shock upgrade is worth it from my experience. A set of Flacons is close to $2k now so $1800 is on par for the upgrade.
  9. Hood edge paint starting to bubble.

Well this sucks. Washed mine last night and noticed this morning that there are two big spots on the passenger side and a small spot starting on the drivers. Mine is a '22. Just got it back from 2 weeks at the dealer for the HPFP replacement and rear axle sensor. They broke some trim and it took...
  10. RSI Smartcap

Yes, been thinking about adding the 3rd, even set then out on the toolbox the other day. Never any issues and it has been all over the past year plus. My Ram only had 2 per side with the ARE shell and I copied that. Probably should add them sooner than later.
  11. RSI Smartcap

I keep some spare fuel in the bed and never had any leaks, just keep some extra gaskets for the Rotopax around for when they get old. My buddy has them on the roof rack on a JL, no leaks.
  12. AEV 370 JTRD

A hammer! The aluminum doesn’t cut it. I posted these up for the guys at Asfir 4x4 to take a look at. Sent them an email that it either needs to be steel or twice as thick aluminum. It bolts to the transfer case factory skid and the frame next to the filter. Mytruck is pretty heavy and a...
  13. AEV 370 JTRD

    Fuel filter skid
  14. AEV 2.5" DualSport on Rubicon Diesel

Will have to check mine to see what condition they are in.
  15. Retro Gladiator build, my modern take on the Old Honcho

@AndyB what an incredible job, nice work! Will also be watching for you on the trails and hope to see it in the wild.
  16. Anyone installed Xtreme Recon Fenders on JT?

@Toyfrog beat me to it. Different mounts. Love the rokblokz. They block most of the mud. Still have my extensions on. They grow on you and are a nice touch but probably not necessary unless you have local laws that require coverage. You can see here nothing helped my sarge green JT on this trip 😂
  17. Diesel cooling options and ideas

The grapevine is an excellent test. Will be interested to see if this cools enough to keep temps down vs directly cooling the oil. Keep us posted @Primer Gray !
  18. S&B intake

And after all that you can't get it in California of course. Might order it and send it to my folks house in AZ, but at this point not sure if I want to spend the money on it. Have an AFE drop in and that is probably good enough.
  19. GAIA Fastback installed

Any comments on overall quality? Was looking at their pop up camper and messaged with them a few times. Was nervous to be a first adopter with no way to see/touch one before ordering.
