2021 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon Diesel, 28,500 miles (subject to change but it's not currently my daily driver), Automatic, leather, navigation, blue tooth, Apple carplay, etc, soft tonneau cover, bed lined, factory bed rails, under back seat storage bins, loaded from factory in other words. 3.5"...
I'm interested to know if anyone has vented their hood to help with this issue? Seems to me the fake vents could be converted into real vents that could help keep the entire engine compartment cooler?
As I read this, I’m at 6,000’ in the Sierra Nevada having just towed a 22’ camp trailer from sea level with my JTRD with 37’s.
The truck handled it just fine but I did have to keep my eye on the temp gauge and adjust my throttle pressure accordingly.
I’m curious if anyone has vented the hood...
I have no affiliation with Voodoo but this is one solution I’m considering. (12/05 EDIT: Attached a link that works)
Truck Bed Crossbars for Jeep Gladiator — KB Voodoo Fabrications
I started down the path of adding factory aux switches on my JTRD but aborted that quickly and instead installed a VoSwitch “grab handle” system for less $, less hassle on install, and more switch options.
The kit was not designed for the Diesel so I had to do some very easy mods under the hood...
I have a factory loaded and modestly built JTRD for sale currently. It's difficult to figure out how to price it, for sure. You can get all kinds of data on listings but it's difficult to get good comp data on sales. KBB, Carfax, etc don't seem to deal with "builds" very well and you never...
Yep. When I first moved to Idaho (1993), the entire state had just gone over 1 million in population. Let me know if you want to talk trade terms... it's smarter to barter :)
Yeah, I want to be able to haul a camper and the Jeep on my flatbed at the same time. So I'm going back to the full-size diesel. Otherwise, I would just get a reasonable size camp trailer and tow it with the JT. Living in NorCal, driving to the trails in a smaller jeep is pretty easy. I've...
I love my JTRD even though it's currently for sale. I sold my full-size pickup and CJ7 to consolildate down to one vehicle to do it all and the Gladiator did not disappoint. I've road tripped, rockcrawled and towed long distances and have been impressed with the diesel power and torque every...
I have a nicely built 2021 JTR diesel loaded (currently 21,200 miles) that I bought as a certified jeep in January, 2021. I don't want to spam everyone here but I'm thinking about selling it. If there is interest, maybe you can message me and we can take the conversation offline. I live in...
According to Forbes, overall U.S. new car sales were off 9% '22 v '21 and 20% '22 v pre-covid '19. Much of that was inventory availability. New car lots were virtually empty. Looks like the Jeep brand underperfomed even terrible industry stats, however.
My sensor went out at roughly 12,000 while I was towing through the mountains during the summer months. I read somewhere that towing increases the probability of failure. It’s completely ludicrous that the warranty fix is replacing the axle which is the route I went while under warranty.
Finished everything up last week and a trip to the alignment shop later, here it is with the 3.5 Gamechanger and Daystar 3/4" poly spacer on rear only, 37" KM3's on 17x9 Black Rhino Arsenals. Just the stance I was looking for. Slight rake but "looks" level.
Just completed the 3.5 Gamechanger by myself but did take it to a shop for pro alignment which Metalcloak indeed recommends (I also did tie rod, steering stablizer and drag link upgrades). The recommended settings weren't perfect but pretty dang close. Key to success for me was having two...
Good tips. I just checked on mine is recall eligible. I haven't been getting nearly the fuel economy I expected or that some of you are getting after the service.
