I did not .. ended up having to sell the Gladiator when we moved back to Canada. If you can get to lock, unlocking should also work.. try flipping the wires and see if it now unlocks (but not lock) ... if I remember correctly, its just two wires, 12V on one locks, 12V on the other unlocks...
Just an fyi ... last time this did this, the winner of the Yellow JL won with a single ballot so anybody really can win !! And I "might" know the guy that won the Gladiator. Its also entirely possible I have some idea why they excluded Canadians
Best of luck to everyone. Northridge...
You absolutely can. The folks over at Jeep Jamboree USA took many such Gladiators through the Rubicon as part of the work they do with Jeep. Anything "Trail Rated" has been through the Rubicon "stock"... whether it makes it through without damage is another question and driver experience...
2024 Rubicon X Hard to say no to the full float rear and the pretty new screen. Got lucky and found one with factory 4.88s quite literally "coming off the truck".
Swapped out the 35s for 37s, added a winch and was in Moab two weeks later. We were suppose to take my wife's jeep but it...
Unfortunately I don't have the Gladiator anymore (I miss it...) but happy to answer questions. The full build is well documented by @Northridge4x4 on their Youtube channel but the base of it was Rock Krawler's 3" Pro-X system with the triangulated four link rear. Running 37" Nitto Trail...
If you don't already have power locks, then at the very minimal you WILL need to replace the lock latches/actuators in each door and then add the door harnesses.
If you already have the full body-side harness going to the doors then other than programming the BCM with JSCAN etc.. then...
There are many groups .. mostly a question of what is most convenient for you...
Facebook group "PNW Jeep Wranglers" is a good place to start. So is the PNW Four Wheel Drive Association (pnw4wda.org) .. many of the jeep groups are also members of PNW4WDA.
Other groups I know of include...
It might be possible.. but yes, you'd need to add some more pins. It depends on your aftermarket alarm .. if it has inputs for some sort of switch then maybe it will work.
I went the same route as you on an 2014 JK. The little Vipre unit I had didn't have any way to tie back in the door...
If you have the doors working with the aftermarket fobs then I think that's all you are going to get. The switches and and the proximity handles work off the Canbus .. they send a signal to the body computer which then sends the lock/unlock back to the locks. I'm guessing you've bypassed...
Not that I'm aware of. @Enclavet did the 2023 work and seems to have figured all the custom wiring out. We seem to be a pretty rare group to do this work, nobody that I'm aware of has built pre-made harnesses for sale.
Yep.... often easier to just pull the front seats.
Working great...
2020 Jeep Gladiator, 7838 miles, title in hand, asking $65,000 $55,000
With many regrets, I am selling my 2020 Gladiator. This started out live as a base 2020 Sport 3.6L V6 and was built by Northridge 4x4 as one of their 2021 Jeep Giveaways.
Details on the build and links to the videos are...
Any chance you can rotate the disconnect up ?
Remove the bolt that holds it to the rubber isolated and see if you can turn it so it fits better .... then just have to find the right combo of bolt and spacers to reattach that isolated to a different place...
Just buy Nittos ... my 37" Trail Grappers have a couple ounces each (on Hutchison beadlocks). my wife's 37" Ridge Grappers on KMC 231s were perfectly drivable without balancing.
Took me a full day to clean both jeeps after the Tillamook Jeep Jamboree ... so much sand (day one), so much dust (day two) .... Thinking this weekend might be a simple drive in the mountains looking for a place for the dog to play.
