  1. Reliability concerns

I never expected to see "great fuel economy" but I had hopped it would do at least as well as my JT, which it does not presently. Its not a huge concern, as to your point I knew what I was getting into, however I would have hoped for slightly more range as the point of this rig was long...
  2. Reliability concerns

I sitting at 26k. The thing that has bothered me the most is my local dealer has kind of ignored my concerns. They have fixed everything so far, but I have been concerned about the fuel economy and gearbox for a while and they just pulled codes (there were none) and said just drive it and it...

  4. What top/cover is this?

I have this rack. I met the owner of the company at MORE last year. Great people. It is the most versatile rack I have ever seen, super crazy strong as well. you can get new aluminum extrusions from multiple folks and build anything to attach to it. the only limit is your imagination (and...
  5. Should I regear?

I have tried that. It does not really help much, at least that what I've found. I think this is a drag problem more than anything else. I have been wondering if the added mechanical advantage of gears would help unload the engine some, additionally around 2000 RPM the torque curve on the 3.6...
  6. Should I regear?

I generally run about 70-75mph on the highway. I mean it's a Jeep after all. On state highways I will typically run 55-65. it will do a little bit better at 60.
  7. Should I regear?

Yes, I have done that. then questioned myself as to whether I had done it correctly so I went back and got a new set of measurements, and they were within a 1/6th of the previous ones.
  8. Should I regear?

Hello all, So, I have been having issues with the way my gearbox is acting for some time, as well as what i would consider dismal fuel economy. Now before anyone says anything, I understand it's a big heavy brick being pushed through the air and that it's not prius (thank God.) But I have been...

  10. Getting Stuck and self-recovery in the Ozarks!!!

So I was in 4 low no lockers and I can't remember if I had off road+ on or off. I was trying to not carry to much momentum as the trail took a turn right there, I used a tree in that turn as my first anchor point. It was much deeper than I thought. I had walked the trail and put a stick in...
  11. Getting Stuck and self-recovery in the Ozarks!!!

Thanks all, The recovery made for a fun day for sure. I like recoveries as they require some on the spot problem solving. Thankfully as much as I like them I don't have to do it that often.
  12. Hot Springs 4x4 Park

Nice. Yeah in the wet it was just not happening. I got up that in the JK when it was dry. its a fun trail for sure. That park down there has lots of other stuff to do as well, some of it is way too much for me but its there if you want it.
  13. Hot Springs 4x4 Park

I agree with you. Rubicon ridge can be a handful. I've ran it in a JK and then Ive gotten to go back in my JT. Harder in the JT because of the wheelbase and just overall larger size. it was raining on us which makes it way more difficult. here was our run on that day.
