I'd like to know also, just to get eyes on the harness. I won't be disconnecting and reconnecting the harness due to the nature of the problem... seems like asking for trouble.
I installed the water tank myself. I used a 1/2 NPT shutoff valve picked up at a local (US) hardware store along with some teflon tape and it has been fine and leak free for 3 years. It never even occurred to me that there could be a different thread on the tank's fittings. š
It's been some...
Suggest you add something like this to the chimney, to protect the heater from dust (or bees or whatever) when not in use. My understanding is that over time, it can impact the built-in fan. I take a leaf blower to mine once or twice a year... blow from the firebox up and out. You'd be...
I had mine done professionally with cerakote (they make a version for high heat engine parts). Didn't have confidence that I would get reasonable adhesion to the stainless steel if I DIY'd it. I'm very happy with how mine turned out and it can take a beating with no consequences.
It might be something like this⦠but I donāt know what series of extrusions Goose Gear uses. This website is where I buy most of my stuff.

How/where are people routing wire from the rear bumper area into the canopy camper? Currently all my wiring is entering the camper at the front using existing holes up high at the front of the bed... but I have some small gauge wire that I would like to bring in from near the rear bumper.
I donāt think there is a meaningful difference in the amount of storage you get with either⦠itās how you choose to use it. I have the low platform and place items I donāt need very often under the platform, then use frontrunner cases on top for things I want more often. Also the dog rides on...
Love it! By far the cleanest diesel heater option I've seen. My Dickinson has worked fine for the past couple winters but it doesn't keep up when temps are in the 20s or colder. I am seriously contemplating a conversion to this, once development is complete and I can accurately assess costs...
I was able to locate some 8020 t-nuts that work in the ALCC camper rail extrusion. They are of the roll-in variety so they can be inserted anywhere in the slot without requiring access holes. If you have a need for a threaded insert vs a bolt, these will do the trick and should have more...
That's great, thank you. I have a simple cabinet I want to make on the driver's side to contain a larger battery and enclose some other infrastructure. Since it will also be used as a step to get in/out of the sleeping area, I'm wanting it to be fairly strong. Likely going to use 10 series.
Specifically what hardware did you use to attach the 80/20 extrusion to the ALCC t-slot? Was it some sort of t-nut compatible with the ALCC's M8 slot that was tapped with M6? Thanks in advance!
Here is what I went with for a weatherproof bulkhead fitting, it's called a SmartPlug data port. This fitting uses office/server rack keystone modules so you can equip it with the connection types relevant to your application. In my case I took a keystone blank and mounted a 5.5 x 2.1 female...
