  1. 2” lift for my 22 Rubicon. What’s the pluses and minuses of the spacer type?

There are exactly two teams in the country with both a top 10 offense and a top 10 defense: Michigan and Ohio State. What say we both win out until The Game...? Oh, and you are exactly correct about the lift stuff.
  2. 2” lift for my 22 Rubicon. What’s the pluses and minuses of the spacer type?

@Sparty @OHJeeper First off, Go Blue, secondly, everybody's "do it right" is different. If this person wants their Gladiator to look awesome with 35s in the parking lot at work, then a spacer lift is doing it right. Getting the MOPAR lift is doing it right to you, but there are plenty of...
  3. Did I screw up and buy the wrong truck?

I was completely unaware of this donuts mode from the Tazer. I wonder if it would work with my MT?
  4. Did I screw up and buy the wrong truck?

You bought a beautiful and capable truck and you will be just fine, as others have noted. Better tires will help much more than lockers for most circumstances and happily Rubi take-offs are abundant and inexpensive. Get takeoff Rubi shocks and springs while you're at it, and you'll improve...
  5. axles links - dragbars - tierods - etc...

I completely agree with @j.o.y.ride - a Mopar lift and 35s should not cause any serious steering issues. In terms of steering, all I had to do was center the steering wheel (I did add a track bar in front and a track bar bracket in back, but not because of any steering issues). It tracks...
  6. Possible theft from my engine

For probably five full seconds I thought to myself "wiring in a TASER?!?! Good Lord man, what is your neighborhood LIKE?"
  7. Rubicon fenders on sport s non max tow

Yeah, I'd like to hear more about this project too.
  8. Mopar 2 inch lift and 3/4 inch front spacer

I added a JKS adjustable track bar and Teraflex rear track bar relocation bracket to my 2" Mopar lift. The Mopar lift left my front axle 5/8" or so to the driver side and the rear axle a tiny bit to the passenger side. There isn't much one can do for an alignment on the JT other than adjust...
  9. Jeep models and options question

If 35s with no lift is a requirement, then it's pretty simple - you need to go Rubicon or Mojave. They are the only ones with the high fenders. Choose between those two based on your needs, doll it up with the options you want, and Bob's your uncle.
  10. ⚡️ 2024 Jeep Recon EV Revealed! [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS]

I think this is the right messaging for Jeep. (I'm not completely convinced that EVs are that much better for the earth yet, but that's a different discussion.) I think the Wrangler/CJ community has a lot of environmentalism in its DNA and I think they can be successful saying 1) this EV...
  11. Factory Rubicon wheels on a Sport S

With a small amount of patience you can also find take-off rubi JT shocks/springs (sometimes with sway bar end links and control arms) for pretty cheap too, and now you've got a Sport with 33s and and inch of lift for a couple grand in parts. For Detroiters like us with no rocks to crawl, this...
  12. Factory Rubicon wheels on a Sport S

There are a bunch of sets of rubicon wheels / tires on Facebook Marketplace in MI at the moment.
  13. Best Lift Packages

Yeah, you really need a clear vision of what you are trying to do. The stock vehicle is very capable as-is. If you don't need more off-road capability, and just want to fit larger tires, you can go with a 2" spacer lift kit, preserve the stock springs/shocks, get a lifted/level look, not spend a...
  14. Yet another goodbye

The Gladiator gets discussed as a "best of all worlds" truck, but in reality it's tight and peculiar and not right for everyone at every stage of their lives. If you need a big, powerful, luxurious, comfortable ride, the Ram fits the bill great and is a reasonable value in today's wacko market...
  15. What did you do WITH your Gladiator today?

Super Cool. Very little cooler than a 2dr stick-shift Wrangler.
  16. Mopar lift regrets

I think that's exactly right- the stock track bar is set to meet the lighter Sport and the heavier/taller Rubi just fine. It's only when you add a bunch of weight or a bunch of lift that the geometry gets out of whack.
  17. Mopar lift regrets

Yep, the front axle will be toward the driver side, and the rear axle will be toward the passenger side, the higher the lift. At 1" its not a big deal, but at 2.5" or so, the vehicle is crab walking a little and exerting lateral forces on everything. Yes, if the correct fixed length track bar is...
  18. Mopar lift regrets

Maybe I'm misunderstanding your question, but you want both axles centered when the vehicle sits on level ground. That will minimize the twisting forces in all axes at rest and provide the most travel in all directions when not at rest. With the Mopar lift, this will require an adjustable track...
  19. What did you do WITH your Gladiator today?

Went wheeling with my 17yr old. He got a ton of seat time today, for the first time. Very fun. (just to be clear, that is a Red Wings hat!) He is one of a small number of his peers who can drive a stick, much less under challenging conditions.
  20. Door Off Mirror Options

    Yep. $8 Amazon mirrors FTW.
