  1. Would you want a powered sliding rear window?

The only time my top has "come off" was loosening it to install the HotHeads and Blueridge Overland attic. Otherwise it's a PITA that I don't really want to deal with for a few hours of Vitamin D therapy. Far as the panels are concerned, that's part of why I think the Sunrider is a must-have...
  2. Right To Repair - Shareholders Terified

The majority of drivers don't know how to check tire pressure with a gauge at the tire let alone change oil. The dealer service centers will never go away because the typical American doesn't want to work on their vehicle and will happily pay for someone else to do it and they'll likely just...
  3. Would you want a powered sliding rear window?

If it was relatively cheap to do this I'd throw it on the back burner of projects I may do down the road but won't be upset if I don't. TBF though, I think Jeep really messed up not offering the sky one touch roof on the JT. I test drove a Moab 392 with it and came away thinking I'd use it...
  4. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

@ShadowsPapa How big of a solenoid did you connect to Aux 3 to trigger it? Eventually I want to do the same with my bumper winch instead of a direct battery connection but have some decisions to make. 1. Cut the existing winch power line, insert an Anderson between the battery and the winch...
  5. Would you want a powered sliding rear window?

Betcha if it was powered you, me and everyone else on this page would use it almost every day.
  6. would you let your 18 year old have a Jeep

At 16 my uncle attempted to convince my folks I needed a CJ-7. it was brown with a tan top. He tried but it didn't work. I wound up buying my grandfather's 86 Cutlass Supreme, aka the Gutless, the Burgundy Birth Control Device. I learned how to wrench on it but it was no Jeep. I had to wait...
  7. Snagged a cheap double piston Vevor inflator... for $88 including shipping.

@Bandit’s Lair That's on the list for when I get the other parts. I'll do a full tear down and cleaning. Parts should be here over the weekend. @ArcticDreadnought Heat is a concern here, too. From some of the videos ive seen removing that rubber lead off the manifold and replacing with...
  8. Snagged a cheap double piston Vevor inflator... for $88 including shipping.

So far my first Vevor purchase has been better than expected. A lot of the reviews on their stuff generally is hit or miss. The unit came well packed in a thick cardboard box, will a precisely wrapped and deliver by Amazon. Payment was via PayPal. I'll test it tomorrow. I did pull the cover...
  9. Would you want a powered sliding rear window?

The purpose is pretty simple: They tell the difference between a Good Ol' Boy and a Redneck. A Redneck throws his empty beer cans out the window onto the road. A Good Ol' Boy throws his empty beer cans out the back window and into the truck's bed.
  10. Snagged a cheap double piston Vevor inflator... for $88 including shipping.

Like the title says... Been on the hunt for a cheap 12v tire inflator and settled on getting one of the Chinese units similar to the Napa/MaxiTrac unit that went viral a couple years ago. Based on a few nights in rabbit holes, this one appeared to tick all the boxes...
  11. Colors matter... especially if you live in the desert

It do be like that. That said, I've been telling her that for years and never once does it not come with an eye roll and a response of "Bullshit." I've only once attempted to do tint. That was in 1996 on my first car and it lasted all of a week before I took it off. There are some things...
  12. Would you want a powered sliding rear window?

You don't need to write me, I'll be in the next hooch over. :P
  13. Would you want a powered sliding rear window?

All good! Thank you for the explanation. After I hit send it dawned on me this is probably a result of a knee-jerk reaction to 'ghost guns' thats being used by companies to prevent competition from us in the consumer side from making replacement parts. All of that sounds very much in the same...
  14. Would you want a powered sliding rear window?

@Dilly’S Willy Bambu Labs and Ender printers can work over LAN or USB without an active internet connection once they're past the initial setup. Further connections are only needed for updates/upgrades to the firmware. Not sure what you mean by banning?
  15. Sell as is or part out?

I'd sell it complete. You've got a new motor (though that sounds like a story on its own) and extremely low mileage given the year. Thing is, you're not going to get what you put into it in value over a similar mileage stock JTR but you could get more than if it was stock.
  16. Would you want a powered sliding rear window?

Count me in as a supporter. I've read through the threads on adding them and considered tackling it when I have time. (which is likely two weeks from never) It doesn't make a bit of sense that it isn't powered- otherwise it's as useless as a doorknob on a tree. While underway in an extended cab...
  17. Are these diffs cooked?

These have reusable seals on the diffs. I know it sounds crazy. When I dumped mine last weekend my friend helping me asked if I brought enough RTV because he had some laying around... the look on his face when told they were reusable and then actually saw the things... TBF it makes for a...
  18. Colors matter... especially if you live in the desert

My JTM was a GA owned, FL bought. Tint on the front was 20% but the DPRMD doesn't allow anything under 30% so it had to come off for the state inspection. PITA to remove is an understatement. Yes, it would be "illegal" but it's not a primary offense here and frankly they don't enforce even...
  19. Tearful Goodbye to my Mojave 😢

Easier and more cost effective to do a 3-bay now than a 2-bay and then add a third when you run outta space. Next house is going to have a minimum of 2 with potential for a detached workshop/man cave.
