Wish I had noticed this thread sooner. 21 Max tow. At 40k started getting a noise only In slow turns. Thought it was the new tires. Sound got progressively worse. Still the sound appears to be front of the truck.
Took to the dealer at 45k. They had me drive with a tech. He initially thought...
Here is my setup. 15'4" Jayco Baja BH. Sport S Max Tow. Trailer is cozy for 3 member family plus fur son.
3500 GVR on the trailer. So, well below the tow rating. Equalizer WDH and no sway whatsoever.
Lot of sail area on this particular trailer. So, get about 11 mph here in the PNW. I...
2021 Max tow, 154 Jayco Baja. I use a wdh and brake controller but it would pull without the wdh just fine. No sway at all with the wdh though.
It will hold between 45 to 60 on steep hills but of course the faster you go and the steeper the grade, she screams in 4th gear. I slow down as I can't...
21 Aug read this thread on the forum and inspected, sure enough oil residue on the inside brake area.
21 Aug called dealer and got lucky for an appointment 23 Aug.
21 Aug Letter received.
2021 Max Tow with 30k rounded up. Build 06/21
Tires were rotated at 21k by dealer and no leak was...
X-plor rack which I like a lot. My set up is cheap and ugly but effective. Pool noodles cut in half to act as a pad against the rack. However, I found that I had to tighten the ratchet so tight that it would rub on the soft top.
Enter the hard plastic blocks. I cut those in half to fit on the...
What the heck is a neo-con version of a hipster?
I don't drink coffee either.
Funny how you judt
Had a funny clever reply then realized I am just playing into a trolls hand. You win. You are clever and smart. Feel good about yourself.
I experienced the same. Felt easier pulling 6500lbs (u-haul car trailer + loaded up Subaru Forester) than to pull my 3600lb Jayco Baja.
My simplistic brain computes the air flow moving over the top of my jeep hits the trailer vice continuing to flow over the car trailer.
Paper vs plastic. We were told if you wanted a paper bag you were bad cause you were killing trees. Go plastic! Big petro made a lot of money creating all kinds of one time use plastics. Now, you pay .08 cents a plastic bag cause the impact on the earth. It is a way to discourage using...
I think it really comes down to the individual at the rental place. In both San Dawg and Washington State, the rental peeps came out and hitched up the trailer and took pics of the hook up. So, it wasn't like they didn't know it was a soft top.
If they want to make money in this economy...
I pulled 6500lbs. from San Diego to Washington State. I kept the speed at 62mph. The 3.6 got 14 mpg. The squat was obvious but she drove straight and I never felt uncomfortable. I don't care to go 7650 in my max tow though.
