Went with rsi as alucab looked too oddly boxy and the lines of the smartcap just grooved with the gladiator. No regrets and I’m actually looking at alucab tent to throw on top

I replaced my hood latches with dv8 locking ones and they work great

It’s a cool set up. One of the guys in the group I camp with has a gladiator on 38s I think with that alucab set up. I still need the bed use for some truck stuff so it wasn’t an option but def a cool set up

About to order a front runner rack for a yet to be purchased rsi smartcap

Looking for someone who has a 2.5-3” lift with 35s and a smartcap. I want to know, when side smartcap doors are fully opened, what the clearance is to the round from the top of open door to the ground

someone mentioned something important above - that mopar rails fit more tonneau covers than some other brands due to size. the rebel offroad rails DO support some tonneau while also utilizing their bed rack. my question to you would be what kind of build are you going for? I have an xplor half...

Fwiw I use Rebel Offroad rails. Been good so far. Think it runs around $250 but you can usually find a sale happening. May be one now for 20% off

I wouldn’t pay full price. $900ish is the sweet spot. Also most places if you call will work with you on price if you’re ready to order

Front runner rsi canopy slimline 2 for jeep gladiator seems to be popular. It’s around $1200 which imo is super pricey. It does often drop to 900 but still… it’ll be my choice when I get my cap soon

I plan for a similar set up with SmartCap AEV 3” and 35s. I’m ordering if height will be an issue since my wife and I are 5’3. Do you have any issues?
