So what is the best way to get a couple of wires through the firewall and into the engine compartment on a 2021 Gladiator ?

Thanks

Pull This plug Driver side... Engine bay..... 1/2 way down. I ran my GMRS antenna through it. Used a grommet to clean things up.

I routed around the battery and then under the windshield. From there you can slide wires under the backnof the dash intonthe glovebox or wherever else.

Found it to be much easier. I have the manual so no secret holes for me.

Couple pics. Fyi in the first one, those wires are completely hidden now, had them pulled out for the pic

Just have to drop the windshield and pull off that small panel by it for access.

From what I understand, the official firewall spot requires either pulling the batteries out or the passenger tire, etc... off to get access to.

Found this after some investigation, seemed like there'd be a way and there was. If you have the auto though, that hole is probably easier.

Just wanted to add... this was for a rock cam I installed. I'd go firewall official if I was attaching to the battery. Just safer, though I don't anticipate anything shearing these wires, period, I wouldn't risk it.

Did the same for my dash cam. Dropped the windshield and ran the wire around it. Pulled off that small panel and ran the wire right into the engine bay. Its a much shorter route and is much easier and cleaner looking than using the clutch linkage route.

Would highly recommend this to everyone.

I also use the clutch linkage plug for my automatic, just like @DocMike pics above.
I run my CB antenna cable, RV brake breakaway switch wire, and battery direct 12v power wire all through that hole. Re-used the plug and grommet also. Wires drop right to the driver's floor. So easy.

Those don't work so well for rca cables.... just saying, limited use... though when needed certainly handy.
I just read the part that said Op needed to run a couple of wires. You are correct about it not working on RCAs.

Oh right on, lol I didn't even notice that from the op either... I was just throwing it out there in general, for the peoples ? haha.

Do think you gave a good suggestion, everyone should have one. 10 bucks and insanely handy for its purpose.

Lol... see. I got mine!

How did you hide wires after pulling through grommet to drivers seat area?

I drop the windshield and route the wires under the speaker grill. I have done this on both sides with great success.
