I also would not be concerned of leaving them on an always hot wire, if switched they will not draw power unless you turn them on. LEDs also draw very low power

You probably could cut the factory harness and figure out which one is hot or ground or whatever but you may run into voltage issues or even burn out your new kc lights. Maybe ask one Diode Dynamics or another company about aftermarket harness adapters
