Not true, I’m using speaker level inputs to my Audio Control amp without issue with the Alpine 8.4 head unit. No resistors needed and even the balance functions on the OEM 8.4 work properly. The PAC unit or resistors are not required.
Ok got it. You should have way more volume with your new setup as well. If you want more bottom end, a sub with 2 ohm rating is needed.
My OEM 8.4 head unit plays Spotify from phone at a lower volume than the FM radio signal. So your BT issue is most likely the OEM head unit.
If the crossovers and gains for each channel are set correctly, the gear you installed should be a night and day improvement. What is it that you’re not happy with?
If you’re drag racing or tracking your Jeep the duals will add more power and performance.
Seriously zero performance gain. Buy whatever looks best to you.
Removed the plastic interior trim along the door sills, passenger A pillar, and dropped the soundbar to get mine wired up. Also removed the passenger front seat to mount the amp.
With the 4 component sets you have, only a 4ch amp is needed if installing the crossovers that came with them. Again a 5ch will allow you to also power a sub. As stated above an 8ch amp doesn’t make sense for this application. Plus the JL XD8008V2 is physically a large amp creating challenges on...
I connect my iPhone USB-C direct to use the Spotify app. Phone volume is all the up. No volume adjustment in the Spotify app settings. I look in the Uconnect settings for an app or phone volume adjustments.
I’m using an LC.5-1300 to power the front dash (ch1/2), soundbar component set (ch3/4) and Kicker 10” L7T sub under rear seat (ch5). The factory 8.4 and OEM amp power the knee mids and OEM sub.
Stinger makes mounting plates to locate amps under the driver and passenger seats. Pic is with the...
If you want power everything a 6ch like an Audio Control LC-6.1200 for dash, knee mids, and sound bar is needed. Then a dedicated sub amp like an Audio Control LC-1.800. Audio Control are great amps and have the line converter and crossovers built in for easy integration into a factory system.
Yes I did with Select Increment Kicker 6.5” / 1” component set. No cutting of the factory sound bar required.
