Take a look at Rock Hard Bumpers with lowered winch plate. They have Aluminum versions to offset the weight of the winch some. They have an integrated skid so you can drop your factory one.

You'll get a lot of opinions on whether to get one or not, but it sounds like you've already decided. With that said, I'd only recommend getting the actual Jeep warranty. Other extended warranties are so full of traps and BS. Do a search here and you'll find some vendors offering discounted...
