at that point the best move is drive the hour and start giving them a very low offer , they will say No, but they will not let you go.

Aerodynamic affects the consumption, have you seen some Jls come with wind deflectors connecting the front bumper with the fenders?
as an example my JTR with stock wheels came down from 21 MPG to 20 and then to 19 MPG ( similar driving) for just adding first the bumper cross bar then the bumper
